Weekly Bakuman update. Got past the terrible Liarmine arc, just did the real life copy-cat arc, and are about to move onto the Niizuma heavy, 10 weeks in a row in top spot awesome awesome arc. After that? Another awful Liarmine arc, and then the ridiculously awesome Zombie Gun and Reversi arc! (I may be forgetting a couple story arcs in there, but I think that's the bulk of what's left). Honestly, if they skip Liarmine's second appearance, they could ~possibly~ finish the series this season. If they push to 36 episodes or so, then 100% finish it for sure. But given the last storyline of them getting an anime and the voice actress debacle, it might be a tight squeeze in 24~26 episodes.
Edit: Space Bros movie raw is available for download. But no sign of subs yet

So, Winter is nigh upon us.
Maoyuu is still my definite, along with Nekomonogatari.
Maybes are Mondaijitachi, Inaba, and Vividred (not proud of that, but besides the shorts it looks ok).
After looking at the PV for Senyuu, it just looks too simple and kiddy. I'll watch an ep, but if the writing isn't stellar it doesn't have much of a chance.
Oh, and Senran Kagura, but like all the oppai shows, it just goes in the backlog until I can get hardware that will play HD.
Forecasting!
Inaba has a clear shot at owning comedy for the season. Everything else is technically a dark horse because they have barely a fucking chance.
Everyone is going to be all over Chihayafuru, of course, so the serious side is locked up as well.
Overall, despite being only four episodes all at once, Nekomonogatari has a shot at taking the season, though it is going to have strong competition from the continuing Shin Sekai Yori, Psycho-Pass, Robotics;Notes, and Zetsuen no Tempest.
As much as I like it, I'll be surprised if Maoyuu ends up having quite the impact as Spice & Wolf, so it's likely locked out.
Dark horse shows are Bakumatsu Gijinden Roman and Vividred (since expectations are low for it.) Mondaijitachi maybe, but I expect it to be midrange.
As much as I love the -monogatari series, I don't think it'll be the best if it's like Nisemonogatari. And considering who the main focus is I think it'll just be worse. I could be wrong, but if Psycho-Pass keeps up it could easily take the season.
I watch Nekomonogatari for the plot... (´¬`)

This winter looks like shit. Not like the kinda shit that turns out to be pretty decent but pretty light in the number of shows and a number of shows that just look pretty terrible. Not only that, but there are a number of shows coming out in the 2-5 minute range like Puchimas!, Ai Mai Mi, Senyuu, Yama no Susume, Mangirl!, Ishida to Asakura, etc. etc. I'm still gonna watch most of them, but it's probably going to be the lightest season I've had since Summer 09. Thank God shows like JoJos and Psycho-Pass are continuing.
That being said: Chihayafuru, Maoyuu, Sasami, Tamako, and Senran Kagura are the only full length anime I'm looking forward to this season. If you're curious, here are the rest of my shitty opinions on the other anime: http://avvesione.wordpress.com/2012/...eason-preview/
no love for haganai? ; ;
Nah, not from me. I did enjoy some of the comedy in it but never really liked the cast or the setting and dropped it after two episodes. I'm probably being a bit harsh on it, but it didn't seem like a series for me.
That being said, there's plenty of other people who liked it, especially here in this thread. I'm sure the second season will be fine.
No cat girls. Duh! (I'm kidding of course.)
Actually, kinda funny you mention that since my two favorite anime this year had catgirls in them...
...but no, seriously now
I'm not sure exactly why either, but, like I mentioned before, I didn't like the characters or the setting very much. The lead male was just kinda bland and plain, kinda seemed wimpy around the girls and just didn't really impress me all that much. And though that sounds like every male lead in every anime ever (well, because it's true), I didn't think he was all that bad, just underwhelming. Yozora was a bitch, never found her funny (besides her awful drawing in Ep1) so she really killed it for me. Sena was fucking awesome, though. As for the rest of the cast, I didn't see them besides the OVA (which I didn't found boring). And the setting is another school club comedy where kids learn social skills with hilarious results... which really didn't interest me at all. I did find parts of the video game humor to be amusing, though, like the pink PSP and naming the protag but didn't think it'd be worthwhile to continue thereafter. So I dropped it.
Also, I was watching Working, Ika Musume, and Persona 4, so I didn't really need another comedy. If it were another season, I probably would've ended up watching it. I'm going to keep my eye out for S2 this Winter, just to see how people are liking it, but I don't think I'm going to watch S1 or S2 anytime soon.
To expand on this, Boku Wa Fuck The Title is simply forgettable. It's anime on training wheels, a lot of one-dimensional characters in an overdone setting where nothing goddamn happens for 12 episodes. I stuck with it because I thought maybe something interesting would happen, but ultimately it's a pastiche of stereotypes and repetitive gags. The most generic of the generic.
It's looking like Chuunibyou is going to be More of the Same, but since I've come this far I may as well watch all of it then switch to something with some goddamn originality.
blax n gunz
Finally sat down and watched the last 4 episodes of Kokoro Connect that aired on Sunday. Worth a watch if you enjoyed the rest of the series.
