Suggestions for 30"

I'm toying with the idea of a 30" monitor, but I'm trying to figure out the best monitor configuration if I go that route. I've considered PLP and LL (both being fairly expensive), and LP or PL (both lack a certain feng shui however), or even just L (but then I lose the utility of multiple monitors). My current setup is a LL 24" 1080p configuration, but I'm feeling the squeeze with resolution. Any thoughts?

Depending on usage you could always look into those Korean 27", you still get high resolution (1440p vs 1600p though) but cost significantly less and are still decent quality if you are just gaming/general use on them. Can't do PLP with 27" though, but LL would be much more affordable.

1600p has so much real estate I almost have no use for my second monitor outside of when I'm in a full screen game and want to google stuff.

I love my U3011, and the new models are hitting the market soon. You'll either be able to get a good deal on a U3011 or grab one of the new ones.
