North Korea Supplied Syria Components for making Chemical Weapons

The supplies reported to have been illicitly sent to Syria by North Korea included high-heat, acid-resistant tiles, corrosion-resistant valves and thermometers. The tiles are said to be used to construct facilities where chemical weapons are produced.

Five shipments were sent to Syria via a Chinese trading firm during late 2016 and early 2017, the Wall Street Journal says. They are allegedly part of dozens of shipments over several years.

The Scientific Studies and Research Center (SSRC) - a Syrian government agency - is said to have paid North Korea via a number of front companies, the newspaper reports.

AP reporting that a Syrian monitoring group said that 14 people, mostly Iranians or Iranian-backed groups, died in the missile strikes. Russia says they fired from Lebanese air space and that Syria shot down 5 of the missiles. The base is in Central Syria

9 hours late but this clusterfuck of a post was exactly the way I saw it on the news.

All I got from this was there was a chemical missile, some bodies were claimed and everyone involved is pointing fingers because they fear the internet backlash.

Against his own populace yes. There is nothing to be gained but another fucking Iraq. We'd be better served letting Syrians immigrate into Americans as refugees and allowing them to achieve a legal status w/ path to citizenship and letting Syria just do what it do.

Again we do not need another Iraq.

We've been trying this bullshit during the Obama years by funding/weaponizing a rebel group and all that allowed to happen is give reason for Russia to fund Assad's army and sowed enough chaos to allow Isis to expand.
