The sad thing is this is all happening because Trump greenlit a U.S. Embassy move to Jerusalem thus recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

The root cause for these protests and violence is literally the united states.

The US (and close allies) and their fetishization of Israel is just a means to an end. People over there are drooling for an opportunity to kill the fuck out of each other and not be blamed for it. I can't say this is a partisan issue. Most of the Democrat leadership has championed this move in the past. The difference here is that the past several presidents have, when made privy to more sensitive information, were sensible enough to realize that it's a really stupid idea.

Sensible people have no business in the US government in 2018, though, so off we go.
