    Report: Dark Souls II Will Have Paid DLC Item… Storage?


    An early report from Famitsu floating around 2ch says Dark Souls II will have paid downloadable content. Namco Bandai and FromSoftware will sell extra item and weapon storage for a fee.



    The magazine also says the trailer shown during the Video Game Awards is not in-game footage. Famitsu also says there is a connection between the world in Dark Souls II and Dark Souls and hints that Dark Souls II might take place in a different period.

    I really hope they don't plan on doing store specific DLC. Like, weapons and armor for GameStop or Best Buy.

    It's interesting according to ENB the concept art from DS1 actually seems like it was used in the creation of the trailer. Namely the scene with the castle in the distance. I wonder whether there's going to be other unused assets from DS1 that they'll use.

    Theu used a lot of the original concept art for the DLC as well. Sanctuary Guardian, Marvelous Chester, and that thing with connected to the pole with the big chain at the end of Oolicile were all in the original special edition art book.

    All in all the content of the expansion actually was probably a preview of what the second game will be like. No where in the expansion did you have a long walk through any difficult enemies. Granted most bosses in the main game were the same way but the runs to them tended to be a bit better obfuscated. Though I think the bonfire lay out was really close together compared to the rest of the game. Granted that could just be made easier because of familiarity with the formula.
