Just EU again, from the sounds of things.
Just EU again, from the sounds of things.
Yep... and STILL up. Damn you lucky bastards!
To be fair, they do get the game last.
No complaints, the more the merrier. Maybe a bit of jealousy though =) All told the EU servers stayed up until nearly 1am PST. That is crazy. Any BGers get in there while it was up?
New psn message just came in.
New beta for U.S., from 11pm to 2am pacific Saturday night.
30,000 people this time.
First come first serve again so git ur shit if you haven't already!
So only 30k new additions?
Seems odd, but then unless it is an entirely new beta program with the 1.03 update and the massive amount of us that already have the 1.02 version aren't prompted to update... I don't see the point of limiting it.
Just a reminder for all you bitches...3 hours to beta. (Assuming it works this time.)
hooooooly fuuuuck this is hard
Cleaning up shop with Dual Swordsman. Just took out a few invaders and the two red phantom baddies by the waterfall. Anyone able to get parrying to work while dual wielding?
im unable to summon anyone/ be invaded
I've been able to summon 1 out of every 10 signs I pass, but most of them are failures. Out of the three times I've been summoned, only one has been successful whereas the other two took a while and eventually timed out and returned me to my own world.
Beat both bosses (again), found some cool armor after the Chariot boss that I missed last time. Didn't have any trouble summoning really, unless you're getting that weird error code then your summonings are failing because other players summoned them first.
Other than invisible players, this beta is pretty sweet.
Nope, tried for days. I did have fun with the DS though. I think I am done for tonight. Was able to take out all 6 (of 7?) NPC Red Phantoms and the Skeleton Kings. Stupid Red Phantom in front of Chariot kicked my face in though. I was pretty much raising only DEX and AGI and a couple in END. I think I was 55 when I called it a night. That higher agi roll and quicker flask chuggin was nice.
Managed to get a few descriptions down before logging out. Definitely some cool lore going on.
Temple Knight Equipment:
-Dragonknight Helm/Armor/Gloves/Boots
Helmet worn by the Silverdrake Knights in Lindeldt. Though little is known about the order, it is said that heir well-honed miracles and unwavering loyalty in the face of death made Lindelt worthy rivals to Drangleic in their day.
He also had a Dragonknight Halberd and a Dragonslayer's Crescent Axe
Warrior's Equipment:
-Pursuer's Greatsword
Greatsword belonging to a man known as "The Pursuer." Known as the mightiest of the straight swords, it also asks great strength and dexterity of its wielder. This sword was held one-handed by its previous owner, but now is not the time to discuss him.
-Faraam Helm/Armor/Gloves/Boots
Helmet blessed by the war god Faraam. This helmet is in the style of the Lion Knights, a once-mighty order from Forossa. Although the Lion Knights wore heavy armor, they were feared for their nimble two-handed swordplay.
If you talk to Melentia, she tells you that she came from Drangleic, a once-great city that's reduced to rubble after the giants crossed the sea and ravaged it. This could be hinting towards a connection to Demon's Souls as one of the areas that was blocked off to the players belonged to the giants.
I didn't use the flask at all last night, I should have just to see how fast it is.
I also like that you can still walk a bit while using items like lifegems.
Anywho, picked Temple Knight. Noticed that everyone always runs away when I cast War so only I get the buff... every time. Didn't ever get invaded, couldn't invade. Could hardly ever summon. Was successful all of one time but I was able to BE summoned damn near instantly every time.
Didn't end up finding the chariot boss before I realized it was getting way too late to keep playing since I have to work today (guess where I am now.)
Also not really liking the emphasis on fighting many enemies at once here in DkS2. Oh well, guess its time to really get used to using bows.
Fuck them for announcing a time and then changing it to be a full day earlier only three (four) days prior. I went through the trouble of bringing my monitor and ps3 with me an hour east to my friends apartment for nothing. I was so exhausted when I found out that all I could do was emotionlessly stare at the wall for ten minutes before eventually playing Linkin Park - Crawling on my phone.
Are you referring to them fucking up and posting that it was Sunday PM -> Monday AM? That was clearly a mistake from the jump, and they corrected those times pretty quickly. Not that 11pm - 2am was fun either way, but a Sunday/Monday stress test would have been soooooo much more pointless.
