I preordered the hardcover strategy guide about 2 months ago after ENB announced he had done the work for it.
I'm not even going to look at it though until I complete at least 1 playthrough though.

Same here. I think it may have been your post about it that sent me running to Amazon to preorder actually. Future Press has never disappointed me on quality either. Their last guide was gorgeous. I won't be looking past the beginning (basic overview, etc.) though. I still knew it was a must have though.

Do any of you WANT to know the starting classes? Or are you going in super crazy blind on purpose?

I'm going in blind on purpose, mostly because it's a souls game, the less you know the better. And also, I purposely avoided info as to not hype myself up too much because the release date was so far away, lol. Made the wait easier

I've been trying to find an early copy everywhere today. So upset that nobody has it in stock/has it on shelves yet. Got shit all to do this weekend but a super busy week coming up. Being an adult blows.

That said, everything I've heard about the game makes it sound absolutely awesome. The only downside is the fact that the lighting system from the beta/demo seems to be removed almost entirely in some places.

So, just read something about the game that I really don't know how to feel about.

It isn't a story spoiler, item spoiler, covenant spoiler, or well... much of a spoiler at all in my opinion, not something I am pissed knowing about in advance anyway. If anything it I am happy I do. More of a game mechanic that is different than it was in Dark Souls I. But I am still tagging it, because I really want people to go in with as much or as little knowledge about the game as THEY want. I do want to know what any of you that don't mind think about it though...

I am hearing that enemies, regular ol enemies, once they have been killed enough times 10-20 apparently don't respawn. You can clear out entire zones pretty much. While that makes things easier in a lot of ways, and apparently is still enough 'lives' before despawn to get a good amount of souls off em... I worry about rare item farming. Oops, just extincted the one enemy that drops XXX Sword. NG+ it is then! I also have not ruled out that there may be a way to undo this? Item? Covenant?

I'm pretty annoyed if they made that change. A lot of the difficulty in Souls games came from having to actually know where everything was going to be after each death, thus preventing a pure brute forcing strategy. It won't be something that effects me in the long-term at all, but it's still annoying. It sounds like it might be a bug, too. Here's to hoping.

Nearly all weapons can be bought, traded for, or found.
