So can you destroy all chests in this game? And if you do, does the item inside become 'rubbish?'
The reason I ask is, in the room with all the arrows,

there's only a single chest. bloodstains show people opening the chest and then dying. So my natural assumption is it's a mimic so I hit it. Chest gets destroyed and the item inside it Rubbish.

I think you can only destroy Wooden chests, it happened to me once. Not sure if you can destroy metal ones. Yes, the item inside is destroyed and becomes Rubbish.

Apparently I sex changed my character near the beginning of the game and didn't even realize it. Stupid coffin.

Holy fuck some of these archers are leading their shots on me and hitting me. Tiny AI improvement that makes them a whole hell of a lot more dangerous. I had to zig zag and use my own bow to not get murdered.

I tried to stay and dodge. I died horribly. Also fuck this ballista room. djklsfjdls Just tried to slide down a ladder by habbit and let go to my death. TIME FOR A BREAK

lol had a sign warn me so as soon as I went in, I hit a hard right right behind it all, avoided it and ran straight into an ambush. Ran out the room up the ladder and just magic killed everything. I still have no shield but I think I might keep it that way at this point. I need to find a way to enchant my weapons because my melee is a bit shit and I need the boost.. It's forcing me to learn enemy patterns though.

Wasn't expecting to run into Ornstein. He's pretty easy though if you know how to dodge his stuff.

Three of the enemies I usually end up killing first after respawning at a bonfire have stopped appearing. That was way too fast for me. Is there a way to reset it so they spawn again?

You have to burn a Bonfire Ascetic at the bonfire. Although... (slight mechanic spoilers)

All the enemies around that area move up a tier. IE they'll be New game + level. This will also cause the boss of that area to respawn, also NG+ level.

Well shit. That means I'm super double punished when I lose my souls by dieing before getting back to them, because farming back those lost souls is now harder because enemies are gone.

I really need to stop trying to slide down ladders.

So I just started... I'm not the only person that went the complete wrong way at the beginning over and over until they died enough to get to 50% health... right?

Edit: Easily the worst change from Dark Souls to DkS2 is the lack of ragdoll deadbodies ;-;

It's definitely inferior, if only because of the silly movement bullshit. For now I take my time and make sure to aim my jumps with the camera. If I get into an enclosed area where the camera goes wonky though I'm going to be fucked.

Also just bought the ring of reduced falling damage and then still died falling onto the planks in the hole.

Yep. I only noticed because somebody in the /vg/ thread was like why the fuck am I a female. "Tranny coffin". Then I unequipped my body armor and was like "fuck". Teleported back to the first bonfire and went into the coffin again to get my man chest back.

Run in.
Run out. Roll.
Haul ass to the ladder, go up the ladder.
Ranged (throwing knives are awesome) one to death.
Plummet kill another.
Solo last one.

Easy.
