That's pretty weird, idk.
Btw, use ascetics to get majula into ng+3 and check the new armor maughlin has.

On sorcerer i had no problem keeping str at 16 (for shield) and using flames sword all the way through game. I only recently changed it out for varagnian fire sword+10. I've been using cracked red eye orbs in fire keep at 140 and have no problem finding a match. That said its a 90% miss chance but OMG if soul geyser hits its hilarious. Think biggest i've seen on player is 1796.
edit: in case some are worried when i added flame element to varagnian sword it was already +7 and it kept the +7. Kinda cool i was expecting it to return to 0.
Huh.

is legitimately difficult. No gimmicks or anything. Just hard. This one is going to take a bit.
He died to flame swathe like all the rest for me lol.
This is the testing I was referring to.
http://www.reddit.com/r/DarkSouls2/c...eapon_scaling/
I'm not a mathologist so I'm not about to double check his work but I have noticed that in general DEX weapons hit a lot less than STR weapons with the same scaling so it seems legit enough to me.
Next time I respec I'll double check this, I haven't been paying much attention to str/dex scaling so far, only been using dark/fire/mundane paths. On the topic of dex thou, poison seems to not work so well in pvp? My brother has been doing cestus only in his first playthrough, and he made a second set of cestus on the poison path after maxing the first pair to normal +10. He won a bunch of arena games with them without poisoning anyone a single time. This was at 40dex 18adp.
Sounds strange, apparently poison or bleed on rapiers is supposed to be all the rage or something.
Also the reason fire wrecks that certain boss so well is because it's his polar opposite, he's got no resistance to it. Fire and Dark are the two opposing elements on the dark souls world.
Only a handful of bosses in either Dks1 or Dks2 aren't weak to fire lol.
Pryomancy OP
In other news, I made a second guy and have been only using 2x cestus. I killed the giant, pursuer (when he first appears), dragonrider, all with zero total deaths. Then I finally died to one of those great sword giants with their bullshit range. Kind of funny considering how many deaths I had with my first character.
The str vs dex thing is definitely true. I equipped six different C/C scaling weapons and went to the respec lady, they were all weaker with 40dex+20str compared to 40str+20dex
Man, Skeleton Lords kicking my ass on my sorcerer character.
Correction; Bonewheel skeletons kicking my ass on my sorcerer character.
edit; and of course, make a post about it on bg and I beat it the very next time.
did you save the 4 bonewheels for last? should be pretty easy if so. as with the theme from above, soul arrow/whatever the 2 lords with melee skeles, then flame swathe the bonewheels if need be.
i've been meaning to bonfire ascetic this fight for the spellspeed ring, but haven't gotten around to it yet.
anyone know if dark knight stones farmable before undead crypt (other than crow trades)? want to infuse dark on my hex build but don't wanna wait that long.
I had a bunch before than. I know I got a couple from crystal lizards and at least 1 from crows.
I forgot how bad the lag in this game can for PvP. Summoned a Dragon douche to kill. he spawns. I'm behind walls and far away from him. He somehow kills me with Soul Arrow with zero line of sight or anything.
Looking to adjust my Paladin/Cleric build. Currently SL100, started as a Cleric. I've sunk points into 30 STR and 30 FTH, and while my miracles are great my melee seems weak. I've yet to unlock the ability to imbue weapons with elements and I'm unsure which weapon to settle on anyways.. Anyone able to suggest both one and two-handed options?
Spoilered just because boss weapons.

I'm a huge fan of Red Rust shield. Small shield, blocks 100% Physical Dmg.
mace is awesome.
sooo much better than it was in dks1.
Yeah, it's part why I stuck with it so long, but I wish it had a wider-swing radius, or that I didn't sometimes miss short enemies on the second swing.
Supposedly the Club has A or S scaling with STR, and the Mace caps at B? I wonder which would hold the Lightning element better.
