I hate how for hammers and great hammers the best scaling weapons are fucking sticks.

I wouldn't get too hung up on letter scaling of weapons, it doesn't mean much on it's own. An S scaling weapon might be weaker than a poor or even non-scaling weapon of the same class due to base damage. Sometimes raw path is as strong as S scaling (with 30-40 stats) or better in this game as well lol.

Worrying about how to allocate my STR and DEX is all. If I stick with the mace, I can skip about 5-8~ levels in DEX and apply them elsewhere. Really need to unlock imbues and the method of infinite, basic Titanite.

Great Club is A scaling at +10, Large Club is S at +10.

Large Club +10 > Great Club +10

Mace +10 is A scaling.

However, there are a few A scaling swords too. Like Red Rust Sword, Sun Sword. Both are A scaling. Red Rust +5 is slightly < Mace +10, but they do different damage types.

Also King's Ultra Greatsword +5 > Large Club +10. S scaling STR. I have 875 attack power with it.

Seems like 93/95 - 98/100 is a good amount of AGL to have for decent rolls. Usually means you need around 20 ADP depending on ATN, but I've been rocking 95 AGL and my dodging has felt a lot cleaner.

Does Chameleon turn you into a rat when you're in the rat place or is that something from the rat covenant? 'Cause I had someone do that to me once. A bunch of rats charged at me then one of them turned out to be a person.

I'm not sure; I haven't done any PvP in the Grave of the Saints, but I can vouch that this shit is hilarious. Granted most people seem to destroy barrels as they pass them, but for the few who don't it's amusing seeing them wander all over.

So has anyone found anything that includes Velka in this game?
I know since the trailer people have thought Emerald Herald was Velka But Herald doesn't have black hair, which it's been said she has black hair. Cromwell is definitely a follower of Velka as Oswald was in DS1. The guide- not sure if any items do- suggest Cromwell comes from Aldia and Oswald was from Carim, so could that possibly mean Aldia is Carim?.
The giant bird carrying Pursuer is a hawk/eagle, not a crow.
Ornifex doesn't give any hints about her either.
I remember someone in game mentioning something about Priscilla (a pale white goddess or something like that, but don't remember who. Ornifex?)

And on another note (or maybe related...), does anyone find it extremely peculiar that the Ancient Dragon drops a Soul of a Giant? In the memory you go into there's a dragon that looks exactly like the Ancient dragon and you get a Soul of an Ancient Dragon off it. I can't help but think that one of the gods killed the real ancient dragon then took its place

Yeah i spent a few hours dueling in the blood covenant to get more. It's convenient since after each it refills all of your stuff and even if you lose you don't lose being human or souls. Also its right next to a bonfire so easy to get to and leave.

Reward 1 cracked red for each win.

Aldia was clearly doing experiments with giants, there are heaps of their corpses in the room above the acid pit. He also had a (real? at least the soul seems to imply so) dragon in a cage, beyond which was the dragon shrine. Combine that with the 'ancient dragon' dropping a giant soul, and a real ancient dragon soul being found in another location, and yeah... some full metal alchemist type stuff.

Going by the guardian dragon soul description, they could have created it as part of their means to control the dragons. They were apparently using them to combat the giants among other things?

The Guardian Dragon is called a dragon and it drops a soul of a "guardian dragon" but that thing definitely looked like a drake to me, especially when compared to Hellkite Drake and the ones in the Valley of the Drakes.
I think it may just be a powered up drake like of the Vendrick's brother's creations. Giant basalisks and beetles and ogres, which I think really resemble the little kobolds. Same near skin tone, 3 toes, 3 fingers, similar body shape, only big difference would be the change in eyes, while King Vendrick seemed to fuse animals with humans, creating chimera. The man scorpions, the lion warriors, elephant dudes. I think Vendrick's way to do what he was doing was with whatever it was he stole from the Giants (The fragment of Manus? Or was it the fragment of Manus that manipulated Vendrick into stealing what he stole from the giants?) while his brother probably used the Giants in some way since they may only be enlarged creatures.

Some items said that the king's brother disappeared even from the king, locking himself away. Did he lock himself away because he became undead or did he become undead later after locking himself away because he found out the Abyss was using the King and was trying to find a way to stop him?

I'm also having difficulty wrapping my mind around Ornstein, if he even is actually Ornstein. If he is, it looked like he was infected with the abyss since he uses dark magic now. But he's guarding the covenant leader of the way of blue.
