What's a good sword to use? I've been using Heide Sword since I got it and its hard to find any weapon that does aswell as it at +10. I've upgraded various other weapons but none are as strong as the Heide sword, or if they are strong, they have next to no durability. I'm a fan of using the basic Shield and sword set up. Though, for playthrough two I was thinking about using the Ladle and Hexes

If you're looking for just damage for a regular straight sword, the Heide sword is pretty low on the damage side.
Heide Knight Sword max is 150damage
Varangian Sword 250
Broadsword 240
Black Dragon Sword 300

I've personally been using the Broadsword, but I do wish it had a stab move.

I +10'd the Ladle, went to try it out. Was doing 10 damage a hit. I think I'mma pass on using that for a Playthrough lol

Sun sword! As someone posted a few pages ago it's A/A scaling at +10. Has a great move set as well. Join and summon sunbros and crank 20 wins and it's yours.

I saw a comment on reddit that said at some point Lost Sinner has 2 Pursuers with her instead of the 2 Pyromancers she gets in NG+. As to whether or not it's true, who knows, but that sounds goddamn amazing.

Don't know if it's this new character's build or if I just suck, but went to Skeleton Lords right after Forest of Giants/Heide's Tower with a Bastard Sword+4 and am getting wrecked. Not seeing any summon signs at all either.

use a strike weapon on skeles if you can, will be much more effective than slash/thrust. also, only kill 1 lord at a time and clear out the adds before moving on to the next one. save the pyro one for last so you have nothing but bonewheels to worry about.

Yeah, don't touch the center skele until you've cleared out the 2 side ones +adds.

Really, Mace family weapons destroy the entire game.

There's very little they don't do if not enhanced, at least full damage on.

Get a Large Club, +10 it. Then get a Mace, +10 it too.

Get carried. Enjoy your 2000 damage combos on armored enemies.

Finally started up NG+....... I guess being in the magic 120-150 soul level range is bad when trying to accomplish anything other than pvp. I can't go more than two minutes without being invaded by blues.

On a side note. I love that Soul Greatsword goes through walls/columns. People thinking they can get away lol.

I cussed somebody out because they backstabbed me as I was 1. facing him. 2. rolling backwards away from him. 3. he was like 5 feet away.

that's probably just a lag stab. it happens. still annoying, though with cross region play turned off i've only had a handful of really bad pvp connections so far out of hundreds.

Invaded a dude I realized was just going for backstabs when it was too late. Came back and wrecked his shit once I invaded again by baiting him to dodge towards me.

Never really cared much for magic in Souls (cept miracles, baby) but this stuff looks absolutely hilarious... kinda makes me want to try an OP magic build.

Oh God, that's why that fight sucked; thought it was a zerg/timed spawn fight. The phantoms I brought with me actually made it worse. Got it 1/1 solo. Danke.
