No, you can't even die as a phantom either.
Since when doesn't the Life Protection ring work? That was the first strategy to successfully doing it, iirc.
i might finish no death eventually, but i inevitably get sidetracked or tired and do something stupid too often. have made it through 3/4 of the primals before.
the one method i've heard that does work if you have ps+, is to backup your save online.
i forgot i had a $50 gift card from christmas so i just downloaded the game. is it smart for a newcomer to the series to start off as a swordsman? i can't block anything and having the extra sword seems kinda useless when i can just 2hand and barry bonds these fools
Not starting with a shield makes no difference when you can get one in less than 5min
So am I basically just rolling for the stats?
for the most part.
Where's a good place to pump out some easy Sunlight Medals? I don't really feel like "playing" right now so hoping to just watch some netflix while earning some stuff. Sitting outside Covetous Demon right now, my thinking being that since it's so easy, no one's going to mind giving it more HP to summon a sunbro and earn a medal of their own. I'm just worried about frequency.
try them all out if you want, find a starting weapon you like the moveset of. that will be more important than even stat spread to some degree, which can be fixed rather quickly. the starting levels go much faster than previous souls games.
for sunlight medals, covetous is a pretty good choice. easy fight so hosts won't often derp and die on you, wasting your time. also summon sunbros to your own bosses as you progress, if you can get 2 you'll get 2 medals.
headless snake queen. make sure to put your seal on at the bottom of the stairs, this will keep people that havent drained the poison from summoning you. do it off to the side of the stairs tho as i often glitched through the floor after loads when my seal was directly in front of the stairs. easy boss and there will always be at least the pyro NPC with you
Well that was weird. Got summoned, another guy also got summoned into the world, then the "task completed" message appeared despite not even entering the boss room. I'm assuming the dude summoned us but then entered the boss room immediately and killed him. But didn't get a sunmedal, the fog gate on the door didnt disappear, and the game didn't dismiss us either lol
Covetous is working pretty good. Been summoned five times now pretty regularly, each time with a second dude who isn't a sunbro though which I find a little weird. Haven't even been able to find anything to watch on Netflix yet though lol 6/30 unless Sunlight Spear is something I can obtain otherwise. I'll have to check that out.
lol why did they bother adding those dudes in the pots? the fight is a joke as is. Though it is funny when dudes focus on killing the vase hollows when I drop em down lol
WOW. I got summoned and there's already another sunbro. We go in and I immediately aim for the urns. The other sunbro dies somehow before I even break the third one. I start swathing covetous while the world master runs right to the scrawny hollows and starts killing The one right next to the boss. The boss just rolls over and kills him.
Man, now after 16 consecutive wins, after that one loss now just lost 3 in a row.
and token number 30 obtained. Didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would.
Bah, three posts in a row...
The guide says the only way to get Hidden Weapon is to get rank 2 in Bell Keeper covenant. Is that true? And is there any easier way to get those 30 kills than just PVPing?
So I realized something I overlooked for my no death run, is there any way to farm titanite chunks without doing belltower PVP? I'm no way in hell risking PVP, so that's out.
The best place I found for that was in Black Gultch. Take your time destroying all the statues then farm all the Graboids. You can run back and forth between both bonfires. I was typically getting at least 1 per run through, though 0 and 2 per run through also happened. The enemies respawn but the statues don't as long as you don't hit a loading screen. Of course, if you do manage to mess up, they do have a one-hit kill that could be a bummer.
Large Gyrm in Doors of Pharros also drop them, but I'm not sure of their drop rate.
Gyrms dropped pretty regularly in my experience
yes, hidden weapon only comes from rank 2 bell keepers. if you do it offline, the npc red phantoms like mad berserker count towards covenant rank.
for chunks, if you don't want to risk farming black gulch or gyrm in doors of pharros, consider using magic weapon or dark weapon buffs maybe? can spice them down to almost no requirement if you're doing a melee focused build, and use a ring if you don't want to spend points on attunement. although as good as magic is in pve, i'd think you'd be using some kind on a no death run anyway. then you can just postpone upgrading until chloanne gets stock after undead crypt.
