The clerks cartoon failed because it was on Saturday Mornings in the late 90's and ABC only gave it two chances.

I never even knew it existed until a friend showed me the anime episode.

I hope Clerks 3 has something like the donkey show. Went opening day with friends who were obsessed with Kevin Smith movies, and I'd never seen one.
The very moment Randal said "Kinky Kelly and the Sexy Stud" I said "They're going to show a dude fucking a donkey". Friends just laughed.

An hour later and oh look, I was right.

20 years ago today, we started shooting CLERKS.
20 years later, with no plan or provocation, I jumped out of bed at 4:20 this morning and started writing CLERKS III.
It's been like hanging out with old friends.
And after 2 hours of tapping the keys and giggling, I have come to a conclusion...
CLERKS III will be the best film I'll ever make.

Whether that's complete pot-fueled bullshit, I dunno. But I guess we've got another movie coming down the line either way.

I thought he still couldn't get Jeff Anderson back to play Randall. For a while he was talking about doing an e-book if he couldn't get it done as a movie because of that and some Weinstein-related nonsense.

I don't care for Tracy Morgan at all but Cop Out wasn't completely terrible. It wasn't amazing either, but it was enjoyable even with Morgan around. And I've seen Smith talk about Bruce Willis and Willis was just intimidating Smith, which Smith likely could have gotten through/over if he wasn't such a big pussy and was starstruck. It sounded possible that Willis was just fucking with Smith but he was too scared to fight back at all, lol.
