Displacers are for PUG. If your endgame LS needs displacers to do VW, then I don't see any reason to be there in the first place.

Yeah, why not? Nobody's really suggesting APO was ever meant to be endgame, the displacers really do make a huge difference, and as I mentioned earlier prior to the cruor nerf they were a great way for everybody to get a good return on their investment in the shell.

I'm not gonna condone siphoning from the bank, but if a bunch of marrows are farmed and sold and the half of the bank that doesn't go to cronies allows people without any real idea of what they are doing to successfully spam Voidwatch T6 for bodies, well, is that really such a bad way to spend it?

Good morning everyone. I figured I'd stop in and finally post a little bit about APO and the start of it all.

I was there at the start of APO, which was originally designed to pull the people doing shouts for Voidwatch into a LS, making it easier to form parties. I helped pull in a ton of members as well as lead/help in the events. This quickly moved me to become the 3rd leader of the Linkshell, after Alei and his second in command Bernart.

Now that I gave you a quick back story, showing my credibility and that fact that I was there on DAY 1, time to tell my horror story.

I had many friends, as well as many people who looked up to me, in the APO ls. Alei has always had the attitude of, 'No drama in the LS, have an issue than /tell me'. But, when people would /tell him, he wouldn't give 2 shits. Many times, it was up to me to address issues people where having, and I would take the collective arguments of the LS to Alei. After I would do this, he would than create a post in the forum addressing the issue, but not really doing anything about it.

With the start of the LS bank, I had my concerns. I directly approached Alei and said we need set guidelines on what the bank will be for as well as oversight to show that you're not spending the money on your own stuff. I was told that 'I am the LS leader, they need to trust me and if they can't do that, then I have no right to lead them'. Which ended our conversation.

Being a long time player, since Jap beta, I do know the game very well. When Alei would try to run an event that I knew would fail, I was quick to point out that we should do it another way. After doing this for a few months, Alei deemed it worthy to demote me. In my opinion, he was worried that because the LS was very heavly Pro-Rafien, because he was afraid that people would stop listening to him and follow me instead.

Shortly afterwards, I got sick and took a 2 month break from FFXI. Upon coming back, a lot of things had changed. I was soon bombarded with /tells saying how horrible things have gotten. How Alei started buying Empy's for his favorites. Which is true. And that Alei was taking money from the bank to fund his own Relic. Which we recently found out is also true. I approached Alei and told him 'There is a lot of concerns in the LS that you're favoriting players and funding their stuff and leaving other people out.' and that 'Other players are very concerned with how you're running the LS lately and a lot of people are leaving or are about to leave unless you change things around.'. I was quickly removed from the LS because he said that I, who was gone for 2 months, was the reason the LS was having a Mutiny.

This was the same day that Shinigamii, Haymitch, Blackmagus (All of which were leaders of APO) and a few others left the LS to form their own LS. This was not a sub LS that Alei likes to brag about, no, this was a LS created because we were tired of losing every event and were tired of how horrible of a leader Alei is.

So as a person who was in the thick of things.
Alei taking funds from LS bank to fund his favorite: Check
Alei is forcing his players to fund his own Relic: Check
Alei censors players that dare speak against him: Check
Alei's leaders (Majority) are as incompetent as he is: Check
Alei bought 10 or so meteors to do give to BLM's for Legion (Correction, was not PW), but still failed: Check

So, I warn everyone now. Stay away. People in APO that say it's good, are the ones that you'll be funding their EMPY's / Relics and so forth.

The fact is we have win Legion couple times without Meteors. Alei buy it the magic for dose ppl in the LS that use BLM as a main job with the LS fund. which i dont think there a problem with that. why have a LS fund if you not going to share for the whole LS. back to question one then... maybe all the BLM's in the LS is all his "Favorite"?

This is only a game. if you really dislike the leadership you can leave the LS, like what you have done. And you can run your LS anyway you want too. There is no way you can please all the player in the LS when you have over 10ppl. There is always the one guys in the LS that going to cry for the littlest thing and start some BS drama. Its just sad for me to see that people that i do respect adding there 2 cent about something to start more drama and posting it.
