    Ashita has been trucking along very well and has had a lot of great feedback and new third-party extensions rise up over the months.

    A full Spellcast replacement for Ashita. (This is brand new so bare with Lolwutt as he works on getting it fully stable. So far so good though!)

    Autojoin: Lolwutt - http://www.ffevo.net/topic/3297-autojoin/
    This plugin automatically joins/declines party invitations based on the configuration xml.

    GearLock: Lolwutt - http://www.ffevo.net/topic/3258-gearlock/
    This plugin stops players from blinking due to gear swaps. It is based on the source from BlinkMeNot by BlueKirby0.

    Enternity Lolwutt - http://www.ffevo.net/topic/3249-enternity/
    Simple plugin that removes the 'press enter' flag during NPC conversation and cutscenes, causing them to automatically advance. Will not make choices on menus.

    WatchDog atom0s - http://www.ffevo.net/topic/3183-watchdog/
    WatchDog is an extension that allows you to use the Widescan tracking feature of the game that BST and RNG have access to, but on any job. This allows you to track mobs just like you were on either of those jobs with the blue arrow added to the radar, as well as the tracking cross-hair in the full map (/map).
    Note: This extension was made before SE gave widescan to all jobs.

    I'm playing on a private server, but I felt this should be shared. Using the FPS extension and setting it to 60fps is a game changer for XI in my opinion. I've only been playing again for a very short time, but it runs so much smoother now. I have noticed that for instance your Moogle's animations run a little too fast which is akward, but I'll take it! If you are using Ashita and aren't running this, you definitely should check it out!

    every animation runs twice as fast because they are all tied to framerate (hello console developers)

    There are a few pretty decent profiles included in the Ashita/Config/Ashitacast folder once everything has been unpacked, if you seek a profile for another job, it may be best to ask on the ashitacast thread, but i don't think it hurts to ask here.

    I did find them, but only Brd and Rng seem to be complete. If it's similar to spellcast then I can make my xmls. It's always helpful to have a template to work from!

    It is similar to spellcast syntax in most aspects regarding profiles, but instead of a <rules> section there are several small sections for each "action", <pre/midmagic>, <jobability>. Because of this, you won't need any when="xxx" inside your equip rules. Generally if you were able to make a spellcast xml, you should be able to get off running with some of the examples very quickly, some good information about the variables and xml structure should have been included as well. Was there a particular job profile you were looking for?

    Not a particular job, but while looking at the rng.xml I see the differences with abilities and what not. For instance, I'm used to using for idle:

    <equip when="idle" set="Idle" />
    <equip when="engaged" set="TP" />

    but the rng.xml has

    <idlegear>
    <if p_status="!engaged">
    <equip set="Idle"/>
    </if>
    <elseif eq_main="Kraken Club">
    <equip set="Kraken"/>
    </elseif>
    </idlegear>

    which I do not understand. I'm thinking using the line, <if p_status="!engaged">, p_status is player status and you must use !status to indicate if engaged or idle?

    ! is an operator for "not", that's basically a shorthand way of saying "if status is not engaged"

    Ok. Thank you for the replies! I think I'm getting it and will try it out later after my server has maintenance. The Ashita forums are kind of slow so I figure it can't hurt to post both here and there.

    do not use empty <body></body> (or any slot) tags, simply remove them entirely, dunno if that will fix your issue in particular, but it will cause issues if you leave empty tags like that instead of removing them

    That doesn't help either and on the ashita forums the only response I've received is by a person that doesn't seem to know what the problem is either. I even took what they said was a working xml and only changed idle/tp gear to match mine and it still won't work. ffxi/ashita is up to date as well. I'm probably going to go back to using Jescin's windower/spellcast because this is getting too frustrating and without any type of wiki or support on their forums to learn how to write or troubleshoot I'm just spinning my wheels.

    there is a closing <inputcommands /> tag, you can remove it entirely if u wont use any imputcommands, but why dont you post the latest edit of the profile your using.

    also, there isn't a wiki and support because all of the documention you should need can be found either in the included documentation and profiles, or on the ashitacast thread.

    Edit: Users FFXI was out of date. You can check your FFXI/Ashita/Ashitacast versions with the /ver, /aver, and /list commands.

    Ashita v2 Alpha
    Hello everyone, the Ashita version 2 alpha has begun about a week ago.
    We are currently at alpha version 2.0.0.3

    Keep in mind:
    • Plugins written for Ashita v1 will not work with v2.
    • Lua scripts written for v1 (LuaCast) will not work for v2.
    • This is an alpha, expect to crash! (Although so far we have had no reports of crashing.)


    Bots and other tools that rely on the Windower MMF will not work yet with v2 as there is no plugin written to handle them. So yes your precious tools that rely on it will not work yet with v2.

    We are not asking people to drop what they are doing and help test. But when you are bored, have free time, and want to help out, feel free to download the latest alpha package and help test.

    Everyone is encouraged to post their feedback, issues, suggestions, etc. over at FFEvo to help keep things centralized.
