So The Thing still sounds like an 18 year old after transforming? Doom likes more awful than anything in any recent superhero movie (Galactus!?... well nothing comes that close) but ugh. From what I've read, it's being received well? I hate that they can use the Marvel tag. Because the average Joe doesn't know that it's not connected to the MCU.

I tried to defend this movie earlier on, on the grounds that having the initial mission be space flight was way too corny to be the plot of a movie coming out in 2015, so the change was part of updating the origin story. Ninja Turtle Doom and Rice Krispie treat face Thing have changed my mind though. I am not going to bother seeing this movie.

I'm talking about the movie as a whole. All the trailers and posters just look horrible to me. I feel like I've seen better CGI on Youtube channels

Because this film is little more then them holding on to the license. They're throwing a somewhat decent advertising budget behind it to encourage stupid people that see the Marvel logo to watch it and hopefully make some money, but what's been actually shown looks straight bad in almost every capacity.
