That's part of the appeal about comic-book Doom. He does bad things, but he's got his own code and it doesn't always mean he fucks things up for the world. And it'd get the FF4 actors some play without linking them to yet another shitty Fox reboot.

The 120 is likely just the cost of making the movie, they've done a fairly extensive marketing campaign that will likely tack on a decent amount of money to the cost of this abomination.

Noping the fuck out of that. Iconic Doom needs to be a thing, and fuck these random re-imagings. If you can work some pre-scarring Doomtime in for the origin so we've got an idea of what's under the armor, good but not critical. Vader didn't need to be out of the armor to be awesome, neither would Doom.

The best I can say is that I didn't loathe it. But I know next to nothing about the Fantastic Four so perhaps I just lacked the context required to fuel the hatred.

...some of the effects were pretty cool? That's all I got.
