Platinum Games Promises Awesome

Platinum Games fans should keep an eye on E3 next week. The studio’s JP Kellams has teased news from the Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising developer on Twitter.

“In E3 news, if you are a PG fan next week is going to be awesome,” said Kellams.

Platinum currently has The Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2 in development, so it would probably be safe to expect those.

Skylanders SWAP Force to be Revealed by Activision

Activision has announced it will be bringing not only Call of Duty: Ghosts and Destiny to E3 next week, but Skylanders SWAP Force as well.

The game will require a new Portal of Power peripheral to play, but those who own Skylanders Giants toys will still be able to use them. The Portal will come bundled with the starter pack, which launches alongside the game this fall.

Madcatz's Project M.O.J.O. to be Revealed (Android based console)

Peripheral maker adds its name to the list of microconsole manufacturers with Project M.O.J.O., debut set for E3.

If microconsoles never catch on, it certainly won't be due to a lack of people attempting to make them work. Mad Catz today threw its hat into the ring, announcing it was working on its own microconsole Project M.O.J.O.

Set for a proper reveal at next week's Electronic Entertainment Expo, Project M.O.J.O. will run on the Android OS. In announcing financial results today, Mad Catz called the system "the keystone product" in its GameSmart line of mobile gaming accessories. The program includes a variety of controllers, mice, keyboards, and headsets, all of which will be compatible with Project M.O.J.O.

"With our long history in the gaming industry, Mad Catz has the technical capability, product breadth, global distribution, and developer and publisher relationships that uniquely position our company to embark on this ambitious initiative," company president and CEO Darren Richardson said in a statement. "We believe the GameSmart initiative fits perfectly with our long-term strategy of designing innovative products for passionate gamers and our strategy of expanding into emerging markets."

Price point, release date, and exactly what the M.O.J.O. acronym stands for have not yet been revealed.

So I usually only read these threads and watch the conferences, but this year I want to watch as much as I can live. What's the best way to "stay tuned" to E3 that you guys have used?

capcom's d&d shadows of mystara had me hype as fuck til i found out it was just a hd remake from the old arcade boards. too much to ask to make a completely modern version i suppose

I hate most of the reporters, otherwise this would be awesome. But still, BG chat needs to work on mobile devices, the few times I've used I liked it.

Is there a chat program that we can set up a server on that we can use for Monday/Tuesday announcements for mobile and pc? Unfortunately I'm stuck using mobile as well for most of the day on Monday. ;-;
