Regarding RPGs, the majority came out when XBox 360 was still young and somewhat popular in game. The system is pretty much dead there. Outside of more general genres like action and adventure games, Japanese developers are probably not very interested to spend time on projects that are doomed to undersell.

They haven't officially announced anything, but that's (last I heard) right around what it's supposed to be. Or at least what the target MSRP was.

TitanFall, KI, BF4 Panzer Dragoon(not sure if that was the name as my stream stopped). are only 4 that impressed me.

BF4 is multiplat. The other 3 are alright, not worth the 500 dollar price tag+gold+tablet+drm+obama watching you 24/7.
At least not at launch.

Agreed. Smartest thing Sony could do right now is just pull a straight up price match. If they have no DRM etc. They would already be ahead of MS. More powerful machine that isn't a gateway for the NSA to watch you gaming in boxers where you could still play your used games like you always have. It would be the death knell of the console war before it even started.

All things considered, Ill probably be getting a Ps4 on launch.

Titanfall, and Halo wont be out until 2014. And Ryse is not a system seller.

Yeah, I'm not buying it for that price(with BS DRM), I just wanted to mention some games that peaked my interest.

Why would that be surprising? Microsoft is including a high fidelity camera with their system where as Sony is not. The eye must be purchased separately. So, in all honesty it wouldn't surprise me if the PS4 launch price is $400. Sony made the mistake of launching at a high price point last gen. I'm pretty sure they don't want to make that same mistake again.

That would probably mean $350 for the console and $100 for the camera... I'd expect the console to go for $399 or $449 and the optional camera for $99. The camera is optional, right?

I don't know. They've been pretty hush-hush about everything pricing wise, just seen some info from a couple guys that work in that branch of our company. Word is the camera is packed in, but we didn't have a whole lot of finalized info on anything outside of some of their E3 lineup.

Can't talk much about Kinect if their not going to talk about all the other issues people have with the system since Kinect functionality is directly tied with some of them so not suprised by that. Otherwise best games they showed were multi plat and will be better on PC and likely even PS4.

Sony should have learned from their mistake last time and it has been known that for past generations Sony and Microsoft sold their consoles at a loss. They want to sell as many units as possible because they expect to bridge the profit/loss gap with licensing, peripheral, games, DLC, and subscription sales.

If Sony conference doesn't start until 8pm, that means it shouldn't be over until 9pm which is Gamestop closes. I guess that means if you can preorder tonight, I'll need to haul ass to Gamestop first thing in the morning.

If the PS4 launches at $399 microsoft is going to eat it's arrogance. Microsoft was shooting for 400~450. Esram yields being reduced (people think they are losing 30-40% of the chips they make) has increased production costs. They would rather raise the price of the console than downclock (which is what most people expected them to do). Downclocking would increase their functional chips and be the cheapest option. They have obivously chosen to double down making chips and just toss out the duds.

Sony already said they were pricing it more attractively than the PS3. Don't expect more than $450 (I expect $399)
