12/12/12 Version Update - .DAT Mining Discussion

I did the final quest today ( Beam Me Up... No, Not There! ) and received only 1500 LP / 12 Cookies / 800 CP. Things of note:
1) It took me a while because I got lost
2) I zoned into Boneyard Gully at one point

Something must be giving a penalty?

That could be a possibility though I beleive all the reports for boneyard specifically have been 1500 LP. There could be a time penalty of some sorta I suppose or just each specific zone has different amounts. Also to note when I did attowha and got 1500 I did it really fast so idk

I did QSC and only got 800 cp also.

I zoned a few times and died once (shouldn't have left my gear in MH >_>) then eventually ported my mule out and nexus caped to him.

Yo. Here's the list of potential random candidates for worm items. Some of these are obviously going to be much rarer than others.
When you turn in the worms you can either get one of the Palimpsest items, or a random from the lists below:

Random replacement items:

10x Wizened Tunnel Worm: Petrified Log, Super Reraiser, Hi-Ether, Fish Bones, Yellow Curry Bun, Prize Powder, Tukuku Whiteshell, Dervish Sword

5x Wizened Morion Worm: Hyper Potion, 1 Byne Bill, Gold Thread, Remedy, Quadav Belt, Miratete's Memoirs, Mahogany Log, Angel Skin, Ankylosis Wand

1x Wizened Phantom Worm: Panacea, Powder Boots, Ordelle Bronzepiece, Hi-Elixir, Flame Gem, Imperial Wootz Ingot, Yagudo Belt, 100 Byne Bill, Adflictio

Each category has one exclusive item you can only get from this worm trade (Prize Powder / Quadav Belt / Yagudo Belt) and one rare/ex item you can only otherwise get from Meeble Burrows bosses (Dervish Sword / Ankylosis Wand / Adflictio).

Anyone else notice they added a new type of magic to the magic list? Guess Geomancy is gonna be a totally new type of magic (not white or black). Check in the menu under "Magic," there's a new 7th type under blue magic. Maybe this was in a past update but I don't think so.

Nope, it was definitely this update because it fucked up my spell listing. Was not fun to have to reorganize everything. Last time this happened was when ToAU came out and they added blue magic.

I got a twilight crystal randomly from the Christmas event and since I wasn't really interested in signing anything I traded it to the Proto-Waypoint and got 500 Kinetic Units. Maybe you'd be spending about the same amount as stacks of crystals just buyig the HQ Crystals from the chest? Dunno.

You can't buy every single one, but there's a place to buy Fire, Earth, and Wind ones in the three main nations: the Celebratory Chest.

When you trade GP, Twilight/Aurora crystals are significantly more than the others. I'm guessing they give more KU also than the other HQ types since there's differentiation in the KU for different types of NQ crystals.
