yes but with black belt the bonus amount is useless. Best thing you can do is trade BB for twilight for a mediocre boost that doesn't even come close to normal gear.

As for Skadi +1 for Cor:

Head beats Thaumas for Last Stand
Hands beat Thaumas for Last Stand (idr my ws hands atm though so there might be something better)
Body is third best Last Stand piece in terms of damage: New Abjuration body +1 with ws dmg >>>>>> Tessario Saio >> Skadi +1 .... HOWEVER Skadi +1 has a good amount of racc which cor suffers on harder content. So Skadi +1 will probably outdo tessario Saio on harder stuff imo since their agl and RA are pretty close.

Edit: I'm stupid Sigyn Hands (the other new piece) over skadi +1 hands

Kinda depends on what else you got and how much thaumus set bonus you taking advantage of and if you need the ratt. Kinda sidegradey though really

Unless the set bonuses are godly a lot of ppl are going to be disappointed :/

These peices look so crappy. Doesn't even beat Abyssea or NNI peices still. Legion gear is also better than this.

Anyway, I was hoping that people overlooked something and that maybe they added augments on these peices as well? Legion gear looked craptastic too until you seen the augments they have on the peices. We waited like over a year for this update or even 3 years to be technical and the gear iscrappy like this?

Guess they are saving all the good gear for the expansion

There are 0 Pyrrhic Kleos WS pieces. I am saaaad. Skadi's Bazubands +1 are the new hotness for DNC TP, though.

Most previous things they said seem to indicate that they made Limbus weaker because it's a much easier event and it's scaled up based on the difficulty as they see it. Maybe they view Salvage in the same regard.

Which is a smart move, tbh. Give us some sidegrades and minor upgrades to work on and hopefully hit us with "holyfuckshitYEAAAAAH" gear for expansion.

It IS a little strange how for Nyzul the overall percentage of useful items was very high but for Limbus/Salvage/Legion they appear to have gone back to that old percentage of maybe ~25% useful items (give or take). There are definitely several gems here, and some jobs make out better than others, but anyone expecting a wholesale 5/5 gear overhaul will be disappointed. I suspect the rationale is similar to what Indalecia and Draginhikari posited.

So plugging in the new Skadi/Sigyn into my most used thief sets (TP/Exen/SA-MS) against Dynamis DC, I've found the following to be useful:
TPing in Sigyn Head is better than AF3+2 (obviously comes down to the attack instead of acc), the rest is garbage compared to Thaumas
Replacing Thau body and Hands in Excen set with Skadi+1 body and hands seems to show a VERY slight increase in damage.
Nothing seems to outshine what I currently MS in.

I dont use Evis (always sucks compared to Exen) outside of Abyssea, and at a quick glance, nothing really seemed better. If they didnt tamper with the set bonus (leaving it at 5), then its only slightly better as a set when compared to AF3+2 pants.

The legion gear sucks with augment, so will those new gear set. For the MNK/PUP new salvage set you need at least 3% DA 3% haste 6% KA rate and +45 kick damage. If you have this your gear is on par with full AF3+2 more or less.

They didn't, your expectations changed after NNI gear.
Also NNI gear was the first really good stuff @ 99 cap.

Don't expect every new set to be hands down better than everything.
