I'm interested in reading more feedback from people who go Salvo2 on PUP.
Which setups do you use? Which bosses have you tried?

Lately Salv II has been glitchy for us. Yesterday we were doing Zhayolm and while cleaning Crawlers, I got Rings/Earrings unlocked, except they were not, and they would not unlock no matter how many Crawlers we killed. Eventually during the run it unlocked. Same happened in Bhaflau, but with our THF suddenly getting locked out of using JAs during Cerberus... In our THF's case, she said she just had to fully exit the UI menus twice or thrice and it would work back again. Nothing I tried to do would solve the earrings stuff though.
If it's the one I'm talking of, it's a glitch that's been in salvo forever, was actually in salvo1 as well, even if more rare.
I rememberJem reporting that once he had something unlocked, but didn't actually really unlock until like ~20 mins after.
Of course he couldn't manually unlock by killing more monsters or from the lamp because the game considered him already unlocked in that slot.
I had this happen to me as well, although with shorter time frames.
In BR2, the alexandrite floor's eastern Rampart weirds me out. His corpse never depops. Could there be something I'm missing about him?
That's on both sides. No one ever figured out the reason but it doesn't seem to influence anything. Probably some weird glitch that they never bothered to patch since it doesn't affect anything. The creepier part is if you run out of visible range and then back after its dead. You'll see it alive, the doors will slowly open, and then it'll quickly fall down dead again.
Well I did that happen to me a couple of times though, even recently, but it was like a 1min delay or something.
Game considered me unlocked, but from the Alt+E menu I could still see a red X over the specific unlocked slot.
As I said earlier, had this happen to me a couple of times way back in Salvo V1 as well. Might just be a lag/latency thing, dunno /shrugs
SSR2, is there more to the pillar trick on the third floor than is mentioned on the BGWiki for having the solo gear adds not link? My static has had no problem with them until the last two runs, where everything always linked on pull. Nothing's changed on our end/positioning from what we're seeing, and sneak was definitely up.
The range to aggro and link gears changes between day time and night time and as a result of certain weather. As far as I can tell, if you get a "bad combination" you'll always link the singles because the link range is significantly larger. I haven't really memorized an obvious trend, so I kind of test it as I go through the run. I think day time is small aggro range and night time is large, but weather being present can disrupt your results. Like water weather at night time will be very small aggro range.
On another note for SSR2. It doesn't say on the wiki page, but ramparts on the 4th floor only appear to aggro or link while their door is open. Some ramparts (like the first few) always have their doors open, but once you pass the large room with the patrolling rampart, the last 2 rooms have ramparts that open and close their doors automatically at certain intervals. If you've got time to spare and you're trying to force link them for acroliths, sometimes you have to put one of the ramparts to sleep on top of the other until the door finally opens for it to link.
Was no weather, but it was nighttime (game day change during that section since we had to kill everything), might explain some of it.
Any word on which of those ramparts is true-sound btw? Isn't the first time we've accidentally aggro'd one w/ sneak up, and not realizing until we're about the pop the Dvergr. They typically lose hate before they reach us at least.
I thought that the issue was some of them aggro by sight.
Silly question about Automatons in Salvo2, I remember this being already mentioned.
Have automatons always been able to cast all BLM spells (-ga, elemental debuffs) and any Automaton WS no matter the frame?
I think it might have been the case for the first but not the second?
So I was wondering if Salvo2 Automatons are "special" or if something got changed during one of the major patches over the last years? Because I don't seem to recall Troll Automatons in ToAU zones could use any WS regardless of the frame.
I believe the moving Ramparts are true-sound when going to open the door to the Dvergr?
Also, with the sneak/link tactic, it can be tricky on nighttime/weather (can't pinpoint when exactly it is that happens). Like the guide on BGwiki says, we kill the first set, then bind or sleep1 Rampart, Accession Sneak and go through. Always works that way, problem is when for some reason they link when pulling the first Rampart (extended agro/link range I assume). Then it's kinda mayhem but we've managed to pull through (we go with 4~5, so it's easier for us to deal with so much).
In all of our SSR runs (Morrigan side) only the moving/patroling Ramparts are SOUND aggro, while all the ones not moving are true sound and getting close to them spawns a plethora of gears, Acroliths and Chariots.
Happened a lot of times to us because of people not paying attention, autorun etc.
Never aggroed the moving ones with sneak on, literally walked through them every time.
Sounds more like a bug rather than a "working like planned".
Not like it matters, I just found it rather bizarre.
In regards to Silver Sea Remnants II, BGWiki shows Seafarer Piliproon (F1 Center NM) being capable of dropping 1-2 Primacy Plans.
My group/duo only started farming Silver Seas when the double plan event started, and everytime we've killed it we've only seen it drop 2 plans. This leads me to believe, that like other first floor NM's, this one can only drop a single plan. Has anyone gotten more plans off of this NM?
I have no idea to be honest, SSR is super stingy to us. Usually we get the bare minimum Primacy Plans and maybe an extra or two. That's with even seeing TH procs and such.
