The chariot was my guess as well. It very well could be that if you don't kill it, the chance of NQ boss popping on second last floor is much less (or instead, not guaranteed). Has anyone killed the chariot and not gotten a pop?

We went just now, killed LAC, had trouble with the gears on F4 so after killing half, we decided to go straight to boss. We didn't see a Rampart in the centre for NQ boss so we assumed it didn't pop (NQ popped on next floor).
Added note that wasn't on the wiki: We had an Acrolith pop in the second to last room on F4. Killed it and nothing dropped (we were all fully unlocked by then so dunno if any pathos were removed). Boss dropped Morri Head and Ares's Feet.

Got khim again after killing all chariots then engaging the rampart. Cleared all the gears as well (from the previous floor), and got a lousy 52 alex from linen. Still ended up with 101 alex total, with no cotton pouches. So it looks like ~100 alex is the minimum from AR2, assuming you kill all the gears.

No NQ Cerb from rampart after killing the gears on Bhaflau 4F today. We went East on F1 and West later on, and not everyone was fully unlocked, so either of those could be the spawn condition (go the same way both times or full pathos unlock).

We didn't have magic for every player before Cerberus one run and he popped, so full pathos removal isn't the method.

Zhayolm NQ hydra seems to have pop condition on that floor. We cleared only the gears and tryed to pop it, no pop. Then we had someone hold it and cleared the 2 ramparts in the corners. After last add from them died it poped NQ hydra.

But are you BR guys kiling both ramparts on floor3, or just one of them and going up is what I'm asking.
There's a rampart east and west that you can access, both pop out 8 triple gears. Are people not getting cerb killing both of these?
My guess is need to pop and kill both rampart, maybe the 8 gears optional, maybe the singles all optional too.

We didn't kill both, no HQ boss. It could be related. You may have to kill the rampart on the side of the path you chose on F1 or something, too. Just random speculation, don't take for granite etc.

Not familiar with direction split you refer and we didn't fight the Gear-Rampart our first run (We did the second run, but both had Cerberus).

also of note for SSRII: noticed that the rampart for popping LAC popped after killing the fourth triple Gears, even though there were still three singles left. So if you put two and two together with my last post, you can save several minutes by just killing the four triple Gears to pop LAC and skip the 12 singles.

Ls mate didnt kill b oth ramparts, got no hq either, so could be tied to that.

People who haven't killed (or even touched) either rampart have gotten the rampart to pop on F4 Bhaflau. I guess it's likely not related.

Maybe you have to kill the three gears within a certain amount of time?

From the posts ive looked through, people mention killing one rampart then going up. Some like slycer specificaly say he clears both and he got hq.
Ls guy followed slycer route, but dindt kill ramparts, got no hq.

Both times I did arrapago, we went NW on 1f. 3f we went north. first time, when we got no NQ on 6f, we killed the NE chariot, the second time (today) we got NQ on 6f and killed the NW and NE ramparts on 5f.

Other arra experiences:
MDK post 2 killed all 4 ramps on 5f, cant tell which chariots he killed, got NQ
Byrth dunno if he killed all the ramparts or chariots, but he got chariot.
Slycer seemed to kill all the ramparts and chariots, got NQ
Slycer post 2 killed all the ramparts and chariots, got NQ
Helel killed 2/4 ramparts, dunno chariots, got NQ



But I do recall people saying they've completely skipped 3f ramparts in SS, and still got a NQ dvergr on 4f.

I killed both sides on my first try (together with the 16 popped gears) and it popped

However the legendary gear NM at 2nd room on 4F didnt pop after killing the 2 gear

I think what most people wanna know is @3F, middle area where u can access both west AND east room, regardless of going NE, NW, SE, SW on 2F, if people killed BOTH ramparts (both pops 8 gears in room upon engaged)

If you fully understand what we meant, and did not kill or engaged BOTH rampart and still got NQ + HQ, then we can safely debunk that theory

most people posted "no kill" but in reality didnt know wat we talking about XD

If you can 100% confirm it, then we can safely debunk the theory :D

So, based on that, you got rampart from killing just east, so that debunks that theory.

Killed same # of nms, one pop one didnt.

Time based or just random lucky? Guess need more runs to find this out. Start checking how long it took you to reach, kill the last 3 gear rooms i guess.
