Without actualy logging or timestamping etc, can't really tell just how fast stuff is dying.
Seemed to kill fast or seemed to kill slow, too inconclusive.
Heck I always thought It took me 5 min to kill one floor 1 mob, but lo and behold i guess each one doesn't even take 3 min.
Kparser fight log shows exactly what i killed and how long it took, minus he screw up on the acro when I d/c. Sadly it doesn't show zone up time and time per floor.
Still need to figure out how to pop the east f4 gear nm!
Slycer said he killed 1f east path and 2f east loop x4 ramparts and got windwalker to pop. I did the same thing he posted, but did not get windwalker to pop. unless he meant west path on 1f. Also, there is no 1f wing without an NM, both east and west path have NM in addition to the one in the center.
my bad I was reading that in the car, and read "we killed NM side". Maybe the central rampart has an effect also?
Full clear 1F east path. Literally everything we could, including central rampart and all its mobs.

Tell me about it... This NM is driving me nuts. The nice thing is the zone takes like 50m to clear with 3 people so there's plenty of time to kill the boss, but it's still annoying as hell. My RDM always ends up pulling hate at some point because the melees are stuck hitting for 0 damage. Enstone seems to work well on him. Not sure if there's a better element to use.
@ SSR stuff, it was East side, the Apkallu side. Full clear of east side, clear 4 ramps + 12 ashu east side of central loop on F2, NM windwalker ramp popped in south room of central loop. Like I said, I watched it pop as that last Reinforcement died. I still don't know what the condition is, but it's certainly related to killing stuff on 2F at the very least.
Also, another Arrapago run with NQ/HQ Khimaira pops. 3/3 so far with my group (also 3/3 SSR, 3/3 Bhaflau, 1/3 ZR - both fails before it was figured out)

I really don't know what it is. So confusing, but I still feel like it's linked to kills on 6F (a la ZR).
Arra run dual box:
1st: Killed 1st room birds>lamia(NW). 1st room leeches+lamia(SW). Cleared SE wing for chigoe. Went up.
2nd. 2x Lamia> 4xgear> NM> Up.
3rd. West/North path. AcroNM>Gear>GearNM>Up
4th. 2x Flytrap>Acro x2(1purse)>NM>All Lamia except 2nd Smn(ice ele)>LamiaNM>Up
5th. Warped in at 49 min in. Killed 16 free gears. Got retarded and died to last set of 4. Raised. Finished them off>Up
6th. Warped in at 67 min in. 3 middle>2West>2East>Armored. Pulled Chariot at 78min. Popped Khim
Died at 12%. Chariot woke up as readied fulmi. Khim+Chariot beat on me while Rdm para spam himself till off. Mnk died mid C4. Note to self: Always position ramp in FRONT of mnk so it can counter when it wakes up. Also use sleep 1 till low life to apply sleep 2 so it doesnt wake up in fulmi HP.
Raised. Unweakened. 10 min warning. Ignored khim and went up to prideleader. Timed out at 2%

TLDR: Normal run full NMs. Hit 5th floor 49 min in cleared 16 gears. Hit 6th @67min. Cleared All chariots. Khim pop followed by me being retarded.
Yet another confirmation that killing all 5th/6th pops khim. But it has popped killing much less for people, but I still cant see any pattern for getting him to pop without killing everything, but he can. So whats the common thread? Random archaic machinery chosen each run? Just a 'more stuff dies raises chance to pop' mechanic so full clear=100%, less=less? Still just as confused as before.
Slycer, had you already opened the east or west door on 2F when Windwalker's rampart popped?
From ZR run tonight:
Hydra, enblizzard averaged about 2 points. Enraged Hydra, enthunder averaged about 12 points. Will try to remember to check enstone next time.
Kaustra/ionohelix helped a lot on HQ Hydra (estimate ~18k damage between the two of them). Sch mostly nuked down the last ~5k when it put up its last Bulwark; thunder spells worked well. Need to remember to use Focus next time, since acc wasn't capped using default gear.
Not sure how long your fights are taking. With mnk, mnk, sam, sch, fights took 3 min for NQ and 4:30 for HQ (though sam died like 30 seconds into HQ fight, so was basically just 3 of us). We cut it close for total zone time, though, since we were killing just about everything possible on the way up. Never so much as twitched at the sch.
Got Namru's Jubbah off of NQ Hydra. Don't see it listed on wiki.
He resist enthunder and enblizzard from my experience. Enstone hits for upwards of 30, but can be resisted. I haven't tried fire, water, or air.
In terms of kill time, we have 3 characters not 4, once of which is a THF. (Do you not use one)? Regardless, I believe most hydra mobs resist piercing so it's basically my BLU doing the majority of the damage. At least CDC tends to knock his heads off. I also noticed there isn't much of a level correction penalty against BLU spells. It's actually worth using a few of them.
Khimaira is just so much easier than these hydras. I just want a second skadi body (got one) and I'm out of here.
I've been trying variations on setups. Wanted to try brd instead of 3rd DD, but ZR isn't friendly to it (no ranged slot til 5th floor, and possibly no 2nd magic til 3rd). I passed on putting thf as 3rd since no ranged (and thus no acid bolts) and no feet til 5th floor as well, so most of its utility is wasted during the run. Instead had the sam do /thf, since most their damage is from Shoha, and Shoha gets a huge attack boost anyway (so Berserk has minimal value).In terms of kill time, we have 3 characters not 4, once of which is a THF. For a three person group, I'd be inclined to forgo thf altogether (and you can always get TH1 on blu for fights where it matters). A thf would do more enspell damage than most jobs while Bulwark is up, but they'll also feed TP much faster than most jobs, making the risk of Bulwark that much higher, and the additional enspell damage is relatively insignificant in such a comparison. For our fight against the HQ with 2 mnks (and the small contribution from the sam), it used a total of 6 TP moves, 2 of which were Bulwark, and 1 Nerve Gas.
It also depends on the strength of the thf. My own non-RME thf can do maybe 85% of the damage of my mnk based on comparisons in Dynamis (very rough estimate, since such comparisons are difficult). Most other thfs I know tend to be quite a ways below that, and with piercing resistance it's even worse. If the third person has a stronger job, that could make a significant difference.
Of course all that depends on whether the aggravation of the hydra is worth whatever gains you could get from the TH. I haven't seen much, if any, effect from TH when we've had thf main in the group, but that's just eyeballing. Maybe there's a slightly better chance at 2 45's from the HQ, but given the number of runs we're going to need to eventually do anyway just to accumulate the plans, I'm not sure there's any real value in that. Only real argument I could see would be the chance at a linen purse from the NQ. YMMV.

Got floor4 gear to pop, killed them one after the other not same time. Today I aggroed gears and killed them so maybe kiling gears on f3 gives better chance for it to pop? Or maybe just need to kill them fast dunno! Todays goal was to kill stuff as fast as possible.

and also idk if the arra rampart will aggro but if it does, or even link with chariot? then it might be why some people cant get it as they aggro/link on mistake before clear the floor?

No, I'm positive I had not opened the door on that run. We proceeded east after Windwalker, but the door was closed until we were ready to leave the central area.
On the run where we did not get it to pop, we had completely cleared the central area, though we skipped a few ramparts on floor 1 (notably a couple of the ones at the end of the dead end where the doomed/apkallu NM do not spawn and the one in the center before the port). Also did not open the door on that run until after clearing the central area (and I did a lap around the center loop after opening the door to make sure it didn't pop).
I'm guessing it would link (probably aggro too?), but those other chariots are generally a good distance away from it so you'd kind of have to go out of your way to link.
Just a small bit of info, since I haven't seen any reports of triple drops so far. Acrolith NM in bhaflau dropped 3 plans for us last night (2 Tutelary, 1 ritualistic) and a cotton pouch.
Ya it's rare. I was just going through all the NM drops on FFXIDB, and generally speaking all of the NMs can be categorized as one of the following:
*Single (only), guaranteed
*Single guaranteed, one additional same kind (~10%)
*Single guaranteed, one additional different kind (~10%)
*Single guaranteed, one additional same kind (25~50%)
*Single guaranteed, one additional same kind (25~50%), one additional different kind (10~25%)
Generally speaking, the drop rates for the "extra plans" and quantity available increase as you go up the floors, including when you re-encounter the same NM on a higher floor. The ones that can drop 3 plans are trolls/acrolith in Bhaf, BC in Zhay, LAC in SSR, and Acrolith in AR. Bhaf has more multi-droppers than the other zones, but the rates for the additionals tend to be lower. Still looks like Bhaf has the best acquisition rate on Plans, though. Maybe that's why some of the NMs are seemingly "random" spawn? Would balance out the higher drop instances of plans.
