Salvage II - Slavage Harder

Did you look at the wiki entry? I typed the order of monsters fairly explicitly for most of the areas.

e.g. for that map:

"There are four wings which each spiral out to a teleport leading to F2 (no prerequisite necessary to use). Each wing contains four rooms containing four monsters each. Lamia type monsters are found in the first and third hallways between the rooms of each wing."

And the types of mobs are listed above next to the map.

Map 1 is panned out. Map 2 doesn't say unless people don't care about the relative position of mobs there. Same with Lamia rooms for later floors unless people don't care. If they don't, I'll just make up a position for each.

Edit: Are the doors the same for neo-salvage as the older version?

the positions arent fixed, it can spawn anywhere in their designated area, I've had arra 2f lamia spawn on top of each other, and I've had them spawn across the room from each other. I dont think exact coordinates is going to be necessary.

Used Slycer's info to finish the first map. If no one objects to the idea, I'll probably just map up positions for the Lamia for subsequent floors.

I tried BR2 for the first time today and had every NM pop. Here is what I did:

1F: went east killed the two flies and the pudding to the east, skipped the one on the west. killed both moblin armsman and then the moblin NM. killed the dahak and then the dahak nm. ported up.

2F: killed SW troll, NW troll, went back to kill SE troll, opened up west door, then went and killed troll occultist NM in north room central. went NW room invisible pass both troll engravers and killed the troll guardian NM. ported up.

3F: skipped past the first room of gears, killed the second room of gears (stupid wind weather!) skip the big room but in the small 4 way room in the center had to kill two of the gears in there (stupid weather!) went east and ported up.

4F: 41 minutes remaining. killed the two archaic gears, 8 seconds apart. killed the Gears NM. Killed LBC (was he always so easy?) killed each of the acroliths then the NM. Then onto the 3 tri-gears, from when i first hit them to the last one being killed (beat them one at a time, didn't try to kill all at same time) was 1min 50 sec. killed NQ cerb.

5F: HQ cerb timed out with 10% left (have changed my merits to include formless strikes now, ugh my purist mnk has heartache)

changing merits and not having to look at BG for layout should make for plenty of time for HQ kill. ares legs and marduk feet off nq, 7 ritualistic plans. went mnk/war, thf/dnc, whm/rdm.

Second time doing BR2 today and I did almost the same thing and not get HQ boss. Major differences were:
Floor 1: I killed both puddings 1st floor, messed up on Dahak NM by fully buffing myself and ate a pretty painful Nullsong (had to whittle away NM with gimp THF mule that didn't have ability unlocked for 5 minutes until I unweakened). That cost me nearly 10 minutes.
Floor 2: Killed all center loop trolls + DRK troll NM, then PLD troll NM.
Floor 3: I didn't aggro a single gear, ported up without killing anything.
Floor 4: I killed the first two single gears almost as fast as I could with two WSs on my THF and MNK, then killed gear NM. Proceeded to LBC, and since I aggroed it, killed it easily enough (does sneak work to get by this?) Killed both acroliths and the NM that spawned after second. Finally, killed the triple gears but rampart didn't spawn. Anyone have any pointers to what I did wrong, or is it still uncertain to exactly what spawns NQ Cerb on floor 4? Tomorrow I'll try to do EXACTLY what Protey did and see if HQ spawns lol... on the bright side I got 10 Ritualistic plans today since I bought TH (5 yesterday w/o go figure!).

Oh forgot to mention, I didn't get to the Triple gears until I got 10 min warning... was watching T.V. and wasted a lot of time, and of course the death to the Dahak NM that costed me a couple minutes.

ARRA2 again today, chigoe was up on NW side so might as well kill it.
Floor 2 same thing 2 lamai, 4 gears, gear nm.
floor 3 sneak and invised this time, killed Acro NM, aggroed qutrubs after since lazy, killed em. single gear and lamias that aggroed, then NM gear.
f4 acro x2, NM acro, 4 lamia, then NM lamia.
Floor 5 killed whatever aggroed, 4 gears in big room, this time I killed NW rampart, since I went up from NW floor1, if it matters, who knows.
Floor 6 killed 3 chariots and armored chariot, killed armored 3rd today.
NQ popped, usu feet and linen.
HQ morrigan robe, linen.

So 2 for 2 now on HQ popping. Could it be killing all NM? Speed of killing armored chariot? Speed of clearing room?
Heck maybe its how low hps the rampart has by the time it summons reinforcements.

Personally I believe getting to floor4, or killing the 3 gears in under 60minutes pops the ramparts (worked last four times). I also kill all the NMs along my path if that affects it in anyway, skip 3rd floor etc

Havent seen any reports to far, but I can confirm that when you upgrade to +1 there is no waiting time. Yubers Bahamut completed our first new piece last night and got it instantly (Usu Somen +1)

I've popped the rampart before killing the acrolith, gears, and chariot on the 4th floor. Also popped it after killing them.

Just to avoid any ambiguity I'll give all the details of the run
1st Floor
Any path, kill all the NMs
2nd Floor
Kill all the trolls in the centre path, open west door, kill centre troll NM, run past pup trolls to NW, kill NM
3rd Floor
avoid as much agro as possible, kill any i get and just head straight to west porter to 4th floor
4th Floor
Now I've done this a few different ways and still managed to get rampart to pop, so I'll list each way
#1 tried to avoid the gears and the start and killed 1 that agro'd, ran past chariot, ran past acroliths, open door kill gears as fast as I can
#2 avoided the gears, ran past the chariot, ran past the acroliths, open door kill gears as fast as i can
#3 killed gears and the NM, killed acroliths and NM, open door kill gears as fast as i can

in all three of those situations I did kill the rampart gears under 60minutes, so if someone ported up to the 4th floor after 60minutes and still popped it then my theory is debunked.
Zonetimer plugin is great to keep track of time in a zone.

The boss drop lists (level 45 armor) are finalized. The distribution is 15/15/10/10 (=50 total, 25 pieces each dropping in two locations). NQ and HQ bosses have the same loot pools, but the priority of certain drops over others is different between NQ and HQ. Just check the Remnants II pages or the HQ boss pages on BG Wiki if you want to see the lists.

Less than 3 minutes, but I pulled them out of the room from where they spawn in both times, today I'll try to kill them right where they are since they're weak enough. I'll try getting to floor 4 and kill the x3 gears earlier today, but I did kill 6 NMs on the way up (TTT/Dahak/DRK/PLD/Gear/Acrolith) including useless LAC.

I use SalvageHelper (the one that was used for passing cells in old salvage) it has a countdown timer on it.

Guessing sarcasm, but the guy can drop Cotton Coinpurse, albeit at a pretty low rate, so you might as well kill him if you have time.

Oh, I didn't know the chariots dropped anything lol... all the ones I killed so far dropped jack shit (just want plans mainly). But yeah, this version of LAC is so weak (has considerably less HP than the old zone boss) but Homing Missile can still do quite a bit, nothing a curaga 4/5 can't handle.
