just did BR2, didn't get Archaic Gear NM in 2nd room of 4th floor to pop, neither did I get NQ cerb to pop. Here is what I did different from last time:

on 3rd floor, i killed only one gear in the middle 4-way room instead of two. I killed the two Archaic Gear PHs in 2nd room within 3 seconds of eachother instead of 8 seconds.

on the three tri-gears to pop NQ cerb i took 2 min 2 seconds instead of 1min 50 seconds (stupid multiple Restorals!)

also, got 2x ritualistic plans and a tutelary plans off Acrolith, updating wiki.

From the BR Acrolith NM on the west side, we received 2 Tutelary Plans but no Ritualistic Plans yesterday. So perhaps 0-2 are possible for each plan type, or there is a separate loot pool available from the acrolith on each side.

BR2 again. Killed all 4 trolls in the centre, PLD NM popped fine. Decided to farm every gear on F3 then kill the Gears on F4 simultaneously, NM did NOT pop again. Got to the middle with around 20mins left and popped rampart on F4 with no problems (killed gears ASAP as usual). Marduk Feet/Skadi Head off NQ, Marduk Hands/Usukane Body off HQ.

BR2 again. Killed all 4 trolls in the centre, PLD NM popped fine. Decided to farm every gear on F3 then kill the Gears on F4 simultaneously, NM did NOT pop again.

Damn, that's disappointing. I was banking on the F4 Gear NM having some pop condition relating to machinery (mostly the Rampart) on F3. Our first 5 runs we got every NM to pop, except for the F4 Gear, but we skipped everything we could on F3. Last two runs, we've killed the three gears, Rampart and all of the triple gears in the large East room before the porter on F3 and the F4 gear NM has popped both times (we killed both gears simultaneously all seven times, down to the exact second a few times - NM only popped when we cleared the gears and Rampart on F3). Small sample size etc.

Last two runs:

1F: (East path) Killed both flies, both puddings, both Moblins, Moblin NM (7/7), Dahak, Dahak NM (7/7).

2F: (West path) Killed all four trolls in the center rooms, troll NM (7/7). Headed NW, skipping both trolls on the way, Troll NM (7/7).

3F: (East path) Skipped as many single gears as we could, killed 0-5 a run, depending on aggro. Killed all three single gears in the large east room before the porter. Killed rampart and all eight triple-gears. Dead rampart's corpse doesn't despawn.

4F: (East path) Killed both gears within a second or two of eachother (we were going to try to space out the kills to test but we killed them same time coincidentally - we'll do it next time to see), gear NM (2/7, both times we did what I said on 3F, other five times we skipped 3F). Killed LBC, killed both acroliths , acrolith NM (7/7). Killed the three triple-gears quickly, NQ Cerb (7/7). About an hour in at this point.

5F: HQ Cerb (7/7).

I've already proved killing same time is the condition for the NM gears (east side at least). I killed them 30 seconds apart. It's likely how fast you kill em upon claim. I just kill them fast as i can soon as i claim, and it pops. Don't think any set condition for NM gears still. Timer could tick soon as you zone up even. Are people taking time after zoning up or rushing right to em?

West route 4th floor drops tutelary instead of rituals. Though going up f2 NW (pld) gives ritual, NE (rdm) gives tutelary, SW (rng) gives primal, SE (mnk) dunno, never did that path but im sure someone has.

but 4th floor if you go west, the NM Gear and the acro both drop tutelary instead.

So rampart didn't pop and you took over 2 minutes, could be it perhaps?

got a cotton of nq acrolith in ARRA too, so prob all acro can drop cottons?

SSR2 today:

Entered at 12:34AM PST.
Floor 1: Killed both flies and the pudding in the NW room only. Killed both goblin armsman and TTT, 1 ritualistic off the WAR gob NM. Killed dahak, then Dahak NM (1 ritualistic) then hit porter @1:02AM
Floor 2: I only killed the RNG and PLD trolls (think it's rng, it uses that zaraq or w/e ranged ws trolls use) and then Occultist (DRK NM) for 2 ritualistics and 1 cotton pouch. Invis'd up and killed Guardian (PLD NM) (2 ritualistics). Ported up at 1:18AM.
Floor 3: Fled on THF mule and went straight to porter, training any gear aggro. Ported up at 1:21.
Floor 4: I got to this floor in about 47~48 minutes. Did both single gears, killing them almost simultaneously and got gear NM to pop (1 ritualistic). Killed LBC and got a cotton pouch, useless NM indeed! Killed both acroliths (one dropped a pouch) and the acrolith NM, which dropped 2 ritualistics and 1 tutelary. I opened the door around 1:39AM to spawn the 3 gears and ran straight to the closest gear and proceeded to kill them. I think I killed the last one within 2.5 minutes or so, I have time stamps.

No NQ rampart on floor 4 still ;;

My LS mate has done SSR2 a few times and he feels that the pop condition for nq Dvefr is on the floor itself. He skipped all the ramparts on 4th floor (not aggroing any ramparts on the way) and got the nq Dvegr on all his three runs. Current speculations are:
1. Non aggroing any rampart (debunked by some posts in this thread)
2. Need to open the door to the nq Dvegr within a certain time limit after arriving on 4th floor. Aggro/killing ramparts might have certain penalty/bonus to the time limit.

I joined his run last night and we managed to pop the nq Dvegr by skipping all ramparts on 4th floor.

Floor 1: East. Pop both NMs but did not kill all ramparts.
Floor 2: North West. Kill the four ramparts on the west side (in the middle) but windwalker NM not pop.
Floor 3: Kill both NMs.
Floor 4: Skip all ramparts and run to the boss door (without aggro). Killed Dvegr.
Floor 5: Killed HQ Dvegr (marduk body + linen)

Edit: We split on floor 1, so the ramparts on the side rooms of apkallu NM may not shown on the parse.

I'm going to take a stab and say it's "Kill gears within 2 minutes". If anybody wants to test it FOR SCIENCE that'd be pretty cool (Not doing BR anymore for the moment).

That sounds like a good theory Kincard, I'll test tomorrow with 2 hour / countertanking all 3 lol... fastest way I can kill them soloing pretty much. And in regards to Nekradarken's post, I've gotten NQ/HQ Dvergr every single time, a few times killing one or two ramparts for unlocks I skipped on floor 3 of SSR2. It's usually the first and/or second rampart though, doesn't take more than 5-10 minutes before I get to the door.

Woops forgot to turn on parsing.

Pretty much same thing I've been doing as my other 2 runs, got NQ and HQ again.
Destroyed NQ then HQ did back to back tourbilions and knocked me out of heal range and I died with it at 8% life lol.
Hit chainspell and raised, then twilight mode it to death from then on. All 3 chars were weak when it died, lucky it's pretty gimp anyhow.

Dunno what pop condition for nq could be still, I just kill as many NM as I can, and kill armored chariot fast as I can. Rampart was 56% life or so when it readied reinforcments.

Did 3 runs BR 2.
Every time left with around 20mins or less to NQ Cerberus.
3/3 with NQ and HQ.
1st Run missed Gear NM, and Troll NM in the center.
2nd Run missed Troll NM in the center.
3rd Run didn't miss any NM on the way.

I do believe door open and time killed 3 x Gears affect NQ Cerberus to pop.
We fully unlocked and killed them pretty fast.

ZR is best for bloodsheds; AR is best for Umbrage.

Cleared entire 5th floor, all single gears, ramparts, triple gears (reinforcements), then all of 6th floor, and khim popped as usual. Double linens again.

Also did a ZR run. I had THF switch to evisceration over exen to knock his heads off and they both went down much faster. Still annoying though if he opens with bulwark.
