Problem with SCH is needing JAs and/or SJ unlocks to make it actually useful. Not really a big issue but can be annoying having no erase/nas until JA or haste/etc until SJ.

Sorry if this has been posted somewhere but just confirming/asking... the pathos removal is based on party order? In order for my BLU to always receive the 2nd magic unlock from the lamia in AR, I have to be the party leader and invite my SCH 2nd (who receives the 1st magic from the runic lamp). If I invite the THF 2nd, she always receives magic 2nd instead of me. The 2nd person I invite also receives job abilities 2nd (if they didn't get from the lamp).
Basically, if I invite my SCH second and THF third, I will always receive magic unlock first, my SCH will receive job abilities first, THF will receive job abilities second.
Maybe this is just how arrapago works, or certain mobs work? I really only care about magic and JA on the first floor so I haven't paid attention to anything else.
Its just coincidence, theres no way to force pathos unlocks
It depends on your set up and luck with pathos. I go solo tri-boxed MNK/THF WHM/RDM BRD/WHM. It might not be as efficient but it's what works for me. I got to TTT in less than 12 yesterday, but like I said, it depends on who gets unlocks on what. I always unlock SJ on my WHM first so I can get access to refresh.
Has anyone actually seen the Mamool NMs on 4F of ZR2 that BGwiki says exist (conjecture warning tag)? I'm not outright dismissing it, because god knows we've only seen the Gear NM on 4F BR2 a couple of times, and we've only done ZR four times so far, but just wondering if there's any truth to it.
I'm guessing the reasoning behind that is that there are only 4 Mamool in the big room, and then 2 in the connecting room. The additional two are probably just the ones in the room beforehand, because otherwise there should be 5 and 5. I'll get on the test server a bit later and see, given that normal mobs should be the same.
For us so far, there's definitely been 8-10 Mamool in the bigger east/west rooms, plus the two in the connecting rooms like you said. BGwiki says: "The western(eastern) room contains 8~10 Mamool, which may spawn two more similarly named Mamool NMs when defeated." and there haven't been any additional pops that we've seen so far. Thanks for offering to hop on the test server to check! I should do that myself.
Derp, I'm not home and don't have the test client on my laptop. I can still do it, but it needs updating.![]()
Check above for my reasoning dismissing their existance/utility
People mentionned killing SSR ramps before they used reinforcements. May i ask how? When i did SSR they were instantaneous on claim.
Yeah I just re-read the whole thread. Thanks for that.
It just seems weird to me that the wiki has a testimonial of them existing, yet no drops recorded (there, or on ffxidb, as NynJa pointed out). I guess it fits the theme of the "no paper NMs here" floors that each zone has. I'm more interested in who actually supposedly popped them and edited the wiki suggesting their existence at this point if no one else has seen them.
To actually add something to the thread that I haven't seen mentioned (instead of just asking dumbass questions), all bosses, NQ and HQ, are susceptible to Slow/Para and seem to take decent nuke damage, as opposed to their ToAU/Nyzul counterparts.
It wasnt a matter of them being pointed out, it was theorized that there are NM's there due to the dats.
Spoiler: show
the last 2 make it look like they're NM's. If its based on clearing that section in X time, its got a really strong restriction because, as was said, theres 0 recorded drops.
Ah that makes sense. If that's complete floor list, would it make sense if the two non-numbered ("NM") Bounder/Savant could be the two in the smaller room before the large room? There's definitely at least eight in the big room. Forgive my ignorance with POLUtils, I haven't used it much lately besides Neo-Nyzul.
The supposed NMs do not exist. The out of place Mamool are in the connecting room. Edited Wiki accordingly.
Some of the ramparts are not quite instantaneous. The ones immediately west and east of the central area on 2F come to mind - it's possible to pull and kill those before the reinforcements spawn (these are the ones that pop the ramparts that spawn two of the fomor NMs when defeated).
Edit: Now that I think about it, I think any of the ramparts that have the alternate spawns when linked are not instantaneous. I remember someone in my group killing an Archaic Gears rampart on F4 before reinforcements spawned when we were alexandrite farming since we had a "why would you do that" reaction.
In case anyone was wondering, the two ramparts in the south corners of F6 in Zhayolm spawn a maximum of 5 Archaic Gears (triple gears) each. We had some time when we got there so we messed around to farm. Figured they weren't infinite spawns or else they'd be alexandrite machines, so yeah, they max out at 5 (first five TP moves are reinforcements, everything after that is biomagnet).
Rather have access to zerk, impetus, pcounter n counterstance over refresh, especially formless n 100fist for flan, not to me tion WSs. Theyre pretty harmless offensively, even with CS up, regen4 covers the first 3+Gob NM. Worst comes to worst u can just rest a min before fighting the dahaks, or kite a bit.
Then tell me what it is? Because the only thing I kill on 3f are the rooms with the ramparts, and my first two runs, the 4fE NM didnt spawn, despite doing 3f identical all four runs, so it has NOTHING to do with 3f despite the fact you've made reference to it quite a few times. The fact my friend is 4/4 Cleave killing them (he doesnt kill anything on 3f either), the fact I am now 2/2 on doing a similar kill (timed WS, and untimed white damage), and the fact I'm 0/2 when I did not do same type kills (run 1 was poorly timed mix of WS/white, run 2 was WS/white as well) means its somewhere in there, and its not coincidence.
Its not related to time (as I've ported up with 50 minutes to go and not gotten it, and others have gotten up there with about 30 and got it), and its not related to 3f (my friend completely skips 3f, and I only kill the rampart related gears)
Reference of someone getting 4f NM to spawn while reaching 4f with 30 minutes to go. I've personally gotten to 4f with 48 minutes to go and NM didnt pop. Also saying that one was killed by WS, and one from melee though.
It is also not related to killspeed:
1+ minute on each gear, NM popped.
NM did not pop here, less than 30 seconds each.
Its also definitely not pathos related, I never remove spellcasting on my mnk or thf via lamp (I only kill 1 mob that can potentially remove it, 2f paladin)
I'll just keep doing whats been working for me then till it doesnt work.
