Salvage II - Slavage Harder

Started happening to me too, I used to be able to kill ramparts without linking (especially the 4 to spawn the QQrn NM on floor 1, even one shotting the rampart links the other for some reason). Never had those link in my first days of SSR2 Salvage before I spammed BR2 for Usu plans... SE fuckin with us yo! As for Tutelary plans, I'd prefer Bhaflau over SSR simply because it's easier and I'd net more even w/o TH (average 4-5 plans a night) as opposed to SSRs 3-4. Could probably get double what I average if you brought TH3+.

Can someone who has experience with SSRII tell me their surefire way of popping dvergr every run? Is opening the final door upon flooring up really the way?

When I'm low on time, I tend to skip farming gears and the Chariot NM on floor 3 and just unlock ranged/body/earrings+ring/back+waist on floor 4, killing the first 3 ramparts is enough to unlock all of those for 3 people. Never had a problem spawning NQ Dvergr on floor 4.

lost a shitton of time on 2f since I wiped...you know 3 rdm's casting t4 spells and 3 blm's casting t4/aga3's is fucking awesome when you have 1k hp, and ultimately timed out on boss. Mobs changing link/aggro mechanics for no reason is awesome SE.

Having said that, I think necropurge is physical? I noticed when I tanked on PLD it almost never landed, and then this happened:

So, I'm in SS and all of a sudden ramparts are aggroing and linking from massive distances...that 1f room where theres 2 ramparts on each end, usually I can pull them one at a time, all of a sudden they linked, the corner ramparts on 2f linked from max distance.

either their aggravation range is doubled-ish every second game day, or during the night time it has that extended range; i've noticed it ever since about my second run in ssr2, since it's painfully obvious upon remote inspection that something's different range-wise on the ramparts due to there being quite a few particular instances in the zone where you run the chance of linking ramparts (second floor trying to pop windwalker, third floor snagging fanatic soulflayer while trying to avoid linking that other rampart with three nq soulflayers, etc), but yeah, in the case of our latest double run, it was doing it near the end of lightsday at the very least, then it ceased mid-run ala darksday and then we did another ssr2 run directly after, only to see/notice the agg range was ridiculous yet again during firesday (early firesday to be precise, last i recall)

i may be wrong with those two theories, but at least there's some feedback for you (and others) in case you wanted testament to prove that you're not crazy DDDDDDDDD:::::::::::::: lol

oh and yeah necrobane/purge are both physical

Almost done with getting every 45 I need, I see a lot of you guys already are starting to stock pile the +1s. Would be nice if I could get your opinions on which zone is best to farm for what page. Apart from Usu and Morrigan seeing as they only drop in one zone anyway. BARANCU

Tutelary works in both SSR and BR, slightly better in BR. Bloodshed is the most difficult to farm successfully because you can only guarantee 4 of them and most of the monsters in Zhayolm don't have high double drop rates (for both Primacy and Ritualistic, you can guarantee 6 in SSR and BR, respectively). I believe you can guarantee 5 Umbrage in Arrapago and 5 Tutelary in BR (4 in SSR). They really should have made some of the NMs have guaranteed double drops in Zhay or something, it's kind of annoying. BR has insanely high double drop rates compared to all of the other three.

Day is definitely a factor, at least on fire and wind days the aggro range is much larger.

i just did SSR2, the large room with the 4 ramparts on 1F that you have to kill to pop the NM. one side i aggro'd about 1700 and the other rampart didn't link until i pulled the rampart past the other one. the other side was after 1800 and they both aggro'd linked from a long range.

Bummer, I thought there was another Tutelary I'd been missing all this time.

I think SSR2 rampart mechanics has to do with their doors, I stood on one (the rampart PH for PLD nm) for about 5 seconds without sneak, nothing happened, then its doors opened and immediately popped reinforcements. On 4f, the triple set near the end, same thing, with sneak, they only aggroed through it when its doors opened.

I don't know if this has come up, but tossing some Aeolian Edges is enough to keep the Cerberus/Cerberus Seether's PDT down. I was playing it conservative because it was my first attempt, but about a 50/50 split did the trick.
