Merited Last Stand and Shoha D:
Sounds like you have space for a third WS then
Really? I just returned and I thought it was 2 lol
As you could've seen from your Merits menu, a max number of 15 upgrades are allowed in the Merit WS category.
Which means atm you can get 3 WSs to the max level of 5.
Never checked, just assumed, was it 2 at one point?
No it's always been 15 since they released them, never been 10.
And atm they're still refusing to make it 20 or 25 or whatever else, without giving us any good reason to justify such a choice.
The compromise they're developing in the foolish attempt to please users is particularly disappointing, imho, and we're going OT here so let's cut it I guess![]()
There's really no penalty to unlocking SCH first in AR and ZR, as that will allow you to round everything up and kaustra it, which is much faster than giving JA to a melee and weapon skilling them down. Pro-tip for ZR: toads resist magic damage by about 50%; crawlers do not. So make sure you round the crawlers up. WHM's cure speed/cureskin/etc. are only relevant on the bosses, and embrava is clearly more beneficial, so really, the only benefit to using WHM over SCH in ZR and AR is boost-spells.
I don't have spharai or vereth for my mnk. I've been using Shijin spiral for ws and it works quite well for arrapago and zhayolm.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure people are arguing about the difference between a 65 and 70 minute clear here. I do DNC/NIN, WHM/THF, BRD/BLM for Arrapago and Bhaflau and clear them in 70-80 minutes (depending on how long I spend afk). This event isn't really hard enough to warrant the min/maxing of original Salvage, at least from my perspective. The furthest I've gone so far is starting to skill up my mules' enhancing/enfeebling/divine/string skills for the event. That's about as far as I'm willing to go, let alone leveling and gearing another job so I can shave 5 minutes off an easy event.
Boost spells, Auspice, stronger cures (quicker too, since SCH is going to have to use Rapture to match Cure V/VI), better barspells, better Shell/Protect. I wouldn't call Embrava more beneficial, because it won't save you from the spike damage people have been complaining about. Cureskin might, though. I wouldn't call these things "only relevant", given that bosses are the only part of the run that people seem to struggle with.
My group has done both sch and whm healers. For early floors, I like sch a lot better (except in Bhaflau). For boss fights, I like whm better.
Haven't taken rdm as the main healer yet. It's tempting, in a few respects, but the things that lead me to want to use it over whm usually mean I'd rather go all the way to sch, and the things that make me want to use it over sch usually mean I'd rather go all the way to whm.
I just did a (NQ) cerberus in bhaflau with WHM healer and I forgot to unlock MP (taru MP, so comfortable with 650 MP). Well, the fight ended I had 250 MP left and didn't use convert, with only 9/tic refresh, only had to use one cure 5 and maybe 15 cure 3s. So i totally believe the BRD/WHM healer possible on cerberus with MNK/WAR tank or NIN/???, since they get like 20 MP/tic (spharai mnk though so max counter rate).
The next floor I could unlock MP so i didnt try the HQ![]()
Just cause it worked once doesn't mean it will work every time. Some days I kill shit in 2 minutes some days it takes 7 min. Last few runs I've almost died many times due to random massive dmg.
Would silencing potions block the curse from Hydra's nerve gas? In the same way you can use the silencing thing in Beadeaux to block the curse like effects of the area?
...Are you serious?
Lol.
makes sense to me
other-wiki indicates that it does. Paralyze apparently stops petrify as well. http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Me...Status_Effects
Conveniently there's no evidence or sources to testing to confirm any of that status negation actually working
