I haven't personally. I know the flayers in ARI always aggro at the usual range, even if you're hugging the wall, same with the lamia in AR2, and the mamool in ZR2.

Only sometimes - it could be the areas drawn for "do not aggro beyond this point" being slightly off.
gears act strange for aggro mechanics. for instance, i can be just a few yalms behind one and it won't aggro sometimes. they act like sight rather than sound.
Gears can be either/both sight and sound (sight is normally longer than sound), and their aggro radius depends on weather. This was exceptionally obvious in old Salvage when SE actually bothered having unique aggro mechanics for different floors/zones.
alright, more testing! finished the morri/skadi/marduk/ares +1s i wanted and thought i'd go back and finish the usu 5/5 set for shits and giggles.
5/5 usu + hasty pinion + naked Advancing March i get 42 sec recast on reraise, so it is no more than 91 / 1024 for set bonus.
5/5 usu + hasty pinion + haste spell i get 36 sec recast on reraise, so it is at least 91 / 1024 for set bonus.
The set bonus is 91 / 1024.
updating wiki.
Quick question for those that have been soloing for plans. Which job combinations could feasibly solo new salvage for plans? So far, only seen a couple people mention soloing as SAM/DNC and WAR/DNC for plans. Has anyone been successful as say DNC/WAR or THF/DNC? Trying to get plans since I have now pretty much all the gear but getting groups together for it has been messy.
I am trying to make Gate Widow in bhaflau Remnant. I have'nt seen him pop in now 8 runs. Am i doing something wrong?
First 5 i stayed till 1% rampart , now @30% i kill it><
Welcome to Bhaflau Remnants.
Wind and earth weather increase aggro radius of gears, but I also think the days affect it as well, though not as potently. They have an extremely small aggro radius otherwise.
About Enraged Hydra, my first attemp
Setup Mnk Thf Rdm Whm
I managed to kill left and right head at start ( smite + sata rudra storm/disto )
Problem was he was hiting my monk for 450 with phalanx2 up.
Should i full time PDT or something? I have 31%Pdt and Shadow Mantle
Any strat would help. thx
Yeah, Enraged Hydra hits like a fucking truck. Stay in PDT especially when all three heads are active.
No real stratedgy involved really, just turtle it up. Get your RDM to debuff it out of the arse and your WHM should have unlimited MP with a Refresh II and a proper idle set assuming he/she knows how to properly manage MP not that its a great challenge now there is so much refresh gear obtainable, also keeping skillchaining with your THF and it will go down like a sack of shit.
If you weren't using Counterstance, you should. Phalanx II isn't really going to do anything for you in the face of that much damage. If they weren't, make sure your RDM is Sab Slow II-ing and Paralyze II-ing it.
I fulltime Counterstance and my normal TP gear. PDT if a hit gets through until I get cured, or after Nerve Gas until I use a Holy Water and get cured. Did that zone four times before getting the 45s I needed, never died on either Hydra.
Will a well geared WAR WHM THF work for most zones in salvage 99?
I miss the days when NQ bosses dropped pouches.
I love when I'm fighting the NQ boss, and I fail to get a TH+ even after 2 feinted SA's...then I engage the HQ boss, and I hit TH9 before its HP drops below 95%.
havent seen a linen from NQ in 20 runs either, and overall I'm 4/53. One of my NQ linens I got when I was still learning Dvergr and I went PLD/THF, and I forgot to tag NQ Dvergr...so TH0. Sometimes I really fucking wonder how SE coded TH.
Okay, so back to those Cerberus mechanics again. Here is how I think it works for skillchains:
Skillchain Damage = Floor(Floor(Floor( WS Damage * Skillchain Multiplier ) * Skillchain Bonus ) * Cerberus Term )
I think that the Cerberus Term caps at 1.3 and increases in whole percentage points. I have done a lot of skillchains against Cerb since my OP and haven't found a multiplier greater than 1.3 in any of the ones I've checked. Also, I'm not sure how the Cerberus Term varies (decreases with magic damage, increases with physical damage? Not so sure) and I'm not sure whether skillchain damage actually affects it.
I started doing three-part skillchains to see if I could see a reduction in the Cerberus Term. If Physical damage increases the term and if any Magic damage decreases it then Skillchain damage should decrease it so that my second Skillchain would have a lower multiplier than my first.
Cumulative damage from the start of the fight:
1126 Melee -> 2225 Pyrrhic Kleos -> 1366 Evisceration (4717 total melee) -> 907 Darkness (-46% Cerberus Term)
1987 Melee -> 1761 Exenterator -> 1548 Melee -> 519 Pyrrhic Kleos (Hoplon) -> 446 Distortion (+17% Cerberus Term) -> 365 Melee -> 754 Evisceration -> 412 Darkness (-70% (1), -35% (1/2), or +19% (1/4) Cerberus Term depending on resist state)
1994 Melee -> 1739 Exenterator -> 1639 Melee -> 1444 Pyrrhic Kleos -> 1384 Distortion (+30% Cerberus Term) -> 0 Melee -> 1426 Evisceration -> 3419 Darkness (+30% Cerberus Term)
1859 Melee -> 1324 Exenterator -> 867 Melee -> 1662 Pyrrhic Kleos -> 1581 Distortion (+29% Cerberus Term) -> 193 Melee -> 1184 Evisceration -> 352 Darkness (works for 1/8 resist on +29% and doesn't work for much else)
Cerberus Seether was around 50% at this point, and I don't think I got another 3-part skillchain off after that.
It is worth noting that I divided the melee damage up by the "This WS does this much damage" chat log messages, which is not accurate as melee rounds tend to overlap on either side of the WS in my experience. Still, it should give an impression of how much damage was done between the points.
Given the fairly substantial magic damage (from Skillchain) followed by essentially the same damage taken, I am inclined to either believe Skillchain damage doesn't matter or that it requires almost 1:1 Physical:Magical damage to reduce his resistance.
Spoiler: show
As far as quantifying his resistance, before the first 3-part WS I hit for 51-90 damage with Terpsichore/Twashtar (99s) and at the end of the fight I am hitting for 23-46 damage, indicating approximately 50% PDT.
