lunge work on hydra? or cerb?
lunge work on hydra? or cerb?
BGwiki is down so I can't look this up.
We were doing AR2 tonight and we killed the 4 chariots on 6f before engaging the rampart. However, the rampart used reinforcements and summoned another archaic rampart instead of Khimaira. Is there a reason for this?
There is a limit on how fast you need to kill the Armored Chariot. Timer starts on aggro, not on floor up as far as I know. Other chariots are only for alex/unlocks. I'm not sure on the exact time, but 3 minutes sounds about right?
Gotcha. Yeah, we linked AC to another chariot and took our time killing both (killing AC last). Thanks for the advice.
Negative on the terror. Also wanted to add that magic shield is great for the dvergr. Saved me multiple times after a curse/cackle > nuke.
For SSR2, can anyone show a screenshot of where to provoke the ramparts to avoid full aggro on the third floor? Sometimes it doesn't work for some reason. Also, this was an unexpected surprise on the HQ boss:

from immunobreak? I noticed the Dahaks in Bhalfau can be silenced too (with immunobreak for the dahak NM) so they dont use nullsong. Nullsong sucks when you dont get HP unlock.
Nullsong isn't actually a problem, though, just a nuisance really.
cant use JA buffs (mnk thats usually zerk impetus counterstance)
no regen
no haste
it slows shit down pretty significantly. If I get hosed on gear unlocks (mnk gets 2 of 9 unlocks), its a painfully slow kill.
I've never been killed by Nullsong with Haste and Regen up.
If I get ranged on bard unlocked I can do it with Haste + 2 marches, just keep hp capped (which is easy with ballads). No reason for it to be any slower than anything else, with the except of no selfbuffs
I dont use a bard, so I dont have ballads...Theres a 50% chance I get MP unlock at rune, and a 33% chance I get MP unlock from dahak on the right character (and yet it NEVER seems to fall to my whm...I'd love to parse my logs). 122 MP between haste and regen4 when you have ~600 hp and barely any innate refresh isnt cheap. I never said I died, I said its a painfully slow kill. Please dont twist my words.
I'm fairly confident it only works in water weather or whatever other condition occasionally reduces aggro/link radius. Normal link range is too high otherwise.
Also, regarding that silence, almost nothing is immune to anything in Salvage II. In fact, you can even sleep all of the NMs (many can be slept relatively easily... have used this occasionally on Argent-eyed Orobon, etc., after a stupid Seismic Tail). It just may take 5000 casts to get enough immunobreaks to do it on the more resistant stuff (i.e. bosses).
I have ~900 HP before HP gets unlocked, I don't take a BRD either, MNK alone doesn't feed a lot of TP to begin with, and if my WHM needs MP they just sit down while I continue to punch and counter it to death. If you're that worried, cancel Regen. There's no reason to go without Haste.
If you're talking about one of the open rooms with LAC, I usually grab a sneak move to behind the rampart in the corner of the room and hit it there, then only the triple gear links and the singles sit there. If you fight there, the singles don't appear to aggro JA, but you have to leave your mage out because they will aggro magic. You can also usually get the singles one at a time from the corner like that.
If you're referring to the prior room, like the 4 orobon ramparts and the NM rampart, that's just time of day/weather.
Thanks for the responses, yeah I was talking about the rooms with LAC, for the orobon, we just use the thf to flee to the central east hallway after aggro and the NM deaggros close by while the adds stop earlier (doesn't seem to work on the soulflayer, but we've only tried that path once). The silence was after several immunobreaks, but it's still surprising to see silence land on new NMs these days after abyssea had everyone immune to everything.
I also tried silence on the dahak nm today to speed it up, my terrible luck caused it to nullsong immediately when silence wore :\ I'll just stick to only regen/haste.
