And QBs aren't heavily dependent on pass blocking? AP can do more with terrible blocking than Manning can.

Not to the same extent though. A QB can use different protections/audibles/hot routes to work around this. Peyton happens to be one of the best of all time at making his oline look good.

They did sneak into the playoffs with Tebow but realistically had no shot at a SB. They have a very realistic chance this year. You can't understate the effect Peyton has had on that entire team, as he is basically another coach. AD is a beast and I love him, but the simple fact is that it is incredibly hard for a RB to be more valuable than a QB. This might have been a year to do it if AD breaks the rushing record (narratives definitely have an impact), but not with what Peyton has done.

Even your Palmers, Alex Smith or Collin Kleinperpepper, Bradford, etc., would probably give that team a chance.
