GUNCEPTION
My hollowpoint image vanished rather quickly...
I addressed my concerns for human psychology in my original post. The idea is not that Obama is at fault, or Obama anything really, it's that humans are shortsighted (as is human nature). This is an idea that I don't come to terms with easily, like knowing that pizza is bad for me and eating it every friday regardless of that knowledge.
Btw, karasu, clean those smudges off your monitor.
I don't understand your point, then. It's disappointing in reflection, but it isn't something we can rise above, either
I see proper trigger discipline in every picture.
Also, I posted mine because we had the same gun and I was reminded of my favorite conservative talking head steven colbert
I don't see why not. Having faith in people and looking at the future is something that has to be changed as a society, sure, but it isn't like our current society doesn't encourage the exact opposite and the results are easy to see.
In one grander sense, the world has become more interconnected than ever and is far more isolated than it ever was.
There hasn't been a need for the 2nd amendment since our government gained the ability to destroy the entirety of the world several hundred times over. Just sayin'.
More on topic, I agree with your sentiment. Obama is a hypocrite. Unfortunately, I can't muster any outrage for kids getting blown up every other day. All my outrage is wasted on the fact that we live in a world where several countries could decide to make the entire planet permanently uninhabitable for all life, several hundred times over. Humanity is too goddamn obsessed with the ability to destroy, in my humble opinion. The people showing off their guns prove the point well enough, on a small scale.
Little interest in encouraging this tangent, because it's about as "this is how I feel and this is how you feel" as a topic can get, but conceptualizing a world where this isn't the case is about as difficult as trying to close my eyes and visualize "nothing"
I don't like it, I wish there were a way we could turn it off, but I don't see it happening. As such, I don't see the point in dwelling on the negative side of it. Could it be the subject of study? Absolutely. I definitely encourage further research into how/why our minds do certain things. All the same, I don't think calling for an impractical psychological revolution is warranted or productive
Edit: or emotionally healthy for you to be disgusted by, for that matter. I think you'd do your mind a huge service by giving it a little less attention, but that's just me
Showed off the point that what, they have guns and know what they're talking about and you only know what 5 minutes of googling can?The people showing off their guns prove the point well enough, on a small scale.
The thread "derailed" into those pictures because you were such a dumbass that you were treated like a common troll.
A trolley is hurtling down a track towards five people. You are on a bridge under which it will pass, and you can stop it by dropping a heavy weight in front of it. As it happens, there is a very fat man next to you – your only way to stop the trolley is to push him over the bridge and onto the track, killing him to save five.Spoiler: show
The idea that someone must have firsthand experience of something to be able to have an informed opinion is blatantly retarded. I did not form my opinions on guns overnight. I was wrong on one or two instances, and conceded points when more evidence was presented to me (or I found some on my own). What more is expected of a person? I will not simply bow my head and acknowledge someone as being correct unless they put forth some kind of argument or evidence that they are correct.
Is the whos dick is smaller thing because of the pictures of handguns? I really hate saying this but out of my group of friends: my friend who owns the most firearms, as well as the largest firearms i.e. Assault Rifles and shit has the largest dick out of all of us. It's like that family guy episode lol.
Unless you were referring to something else entirely <3 Cause it's late and I probably missed it.
Good thing I never outright said that. My use of the word "and" separates the ideas, but I'll let you have your semantics. The idea that someone must have firsthand experience of something to be able to have an informed opinion is blatantly retarded.
Based on what you've shown so far in this thread, forming your opinions overnight is giving you too much time.I did not form my opinions on guns overnight.
I'd probably guess something like not using the people who demonstrated your wrongness as examples of power/destruction hungry human beings. What more is expected of a person?
All I know is my penis appears smaller because it has a collapsible stock. I assure you its the real deal and not some bang-up SBR.
just pointing out the family guy episode insinuated everyone in the NRA had tiny dicks, not huge. so it is not just like that family guy episode unless there is another one i am unfamiliar with
Mine is 6 inches of solid steel... I MEAN 7, YEAH... NO ITS 8!
Aw who am I kidding...
