Just keep the ring so than when you make the stupid decission to propose again, you have a ring for the occasion.
The fact that she jumped on birth control leads to the eminent reality that she be getting dick somewhere's else. Bitch will try to come back, asking you to take her back.
If you respect yourself as much as you say you do, you will not take her back. That shit is unacceptable. Nigga can't let bitches be running wild. She wants to run wild and get dicked while having the added security of having you to fall back on. Fuck That Shit.
It hurts, but rip that band-aid off quick fucker. Respect Yourself. You could be an Alpha in the making, hear the calling. The ring thing is hardly the issue at hand here, shit's rather irrelevant at this point.
Will do lol. For the record its not like she just up and left one day. She claims she hasn't been happy for the past yearish. Back in July I moved out of our room into a spare bedroom for a week. Then she asked me to come back in the room, and said "we will always be together no matter what, and lets set the wedding date". 3 weeks later she ask me to move back into the other room, then a week later she packed up some cloths and walked out. Of course this isant me trying to defend her, im done with that shit just relaying her side of the story. 99% sure she never cheated on me though.
That was the nice way to ask for pics
Gonna echo what others are saying and say she cheated on you.
I had it happen to me, too, and thought that he'd never do that kind of thing. Shit happens. There is no other reason for her to suddenly go on BC then break up. She didn't want to get preggo, as that's evidence.
Move on, sell the ring, and DON'T LET HER IN HER BACK POCKET. Once a cheater always a cheater.
Sounds like you don't know this chick well enough to marry her, and she doesn't know you either. It's for the best she left imo. Definitely move on. I agree the ring is irrelevant at this point.
While BC can have some other benefits beyond simply cutting pregnancy risk, I'll just echo other sentiments about selling the ring and abandoning ship.
Can't you just recycle the ring for your next girlfriend?
She walked out on you. She has no business involved in the ring, whether it's wearing it, keeping it, selling it, etc. It's yours. Get it back. Make sure that's one of the ways of saying the jig is up.
After that, either dispose or sell the ring (people have already lined up suggestion on the latter). Don't keep it around, especially for some of the suggestions other knuckleheads in this thread are recommending it for.
In the event that you do sell the ring, do something with the money for yourself. Note the last word: for yourself. Not for the silly little bitch that went on birth control and was probably taking it from dicks that are not of your own. Yourself. See exhibit A for inspiration.
Once this is all done and over with and you've made it clear that you've cut ties, keep them cut. There's no takebacks on something like this. Salt and scorch the Earth if you have to. Then go out and enjoy the world. Shit's going to suck for a while, but it will get better.
And if any friends/acquaintances may think negatively, bestow the revelation upon them that you give zero fucks about the matter. Because really, when she walked out that door at that point, she gave zero fucks about the relationship. She was likely giving you zero fucks at that point, as well.
If he bought it with money from a joint account that they paid into equally, I'd argue that she has a 50% share of the ring and does have some say in what happens to it. She can't just keep stringing the OP along, though.
Tell her to either pay you half the value of the ring or to go sell it with you.
Judge Judy agrees with this.
And honestly OP, if you do end up just doing the 25% make sure that's in writing somewhere. (ie. a text message that mentions it with her agreeing). Women can turn into ugly bitches when you least expect it. If she wants to keep you in her back pocket and she finds out you're not willing, she could go after the other 25%
Good point about making it a written agreement, you really never know.
My friend is dating this girl, who knows his exwife. The exwife told her terrible things and about how he got everything after the divorce, and that she contributed a lot to their household. He has on record everything she has ever asked for and that he has agreed to every request she has made. I'm sure this was mainly so that if she ever tried to take him to court it would be resolved, but definetly helped smooth things over in his new relationship.
