    Ah. Thanks.

The latest episode was really good in my opinion...I had more than one dat feel moment and I actually cared for (most of) the characters! I really wonder where they're going with all this...

Agreed, I really think they're finding their stride now. Although...

I think skye will be shot and this will give us a clue or hint to what she really is.

Its very much like Whedon to have the seemingly weakest link in a group, to be potentially the most powerful.

    Define weakest link?

If you mean her a team member, she is hardly a weak link, with her skills being an extremely strong link if you ask me.

If you mean her as character, I'd probably argue against that. TBH I found her character to be alright, but she's really growing as a character and her and Coulson are by far the best atm as far as I'm concerned, with Simmons and Fitz finally catching up in recent weeks. Ward on the other hand has practically no character at all, with his only real character traits currently being loyalty and "manliness". Melinda on the other hand is a mixed bag for me. Her lack of character is intentional and slowly being revealed ... so for now her character is defined by the mystery ... but if they don't have a flashback story for her or something, I may grow bored of her.

If you mean her as an actress, then I won't argue that since its a matter of opinion. It seems people are more polarized about her than any other actress or actor. Either people think shes absolutely horrid or that shes one of the best alongside Coulson. I've barely heard anyone in the middle of the road on this one. Personally, I could not stand Fitz or Simmons at the beginning and it took up until they got their own stories centered on them that I sat back and said, "ya know, I'm now OK with the entire cast"

^ Seemingly weakest link. I think a better word to use is Underdog.

Storywise: Untrained, had to win the approval of the entire team, worked for the bad guys at some point, new to the entire idea of a superhero world, the other members of the team has prior experience in some form. see where I am going? Even though Couslon saw her potential, 084 makes this a much bigger deal.

I do agree with what you said above btw.

Other Whedon shows use this formula alot.

    oh lol

Can anyone summarize what the 084 means?

And yea, pretty much saw it coming that she'd have some sort of power or some sort of special history.

I believe 084 is SHIELD's code number for unidentified objects.

Announced today that Jamie Alexander will be reprising her role as Sif for episode 15. Maybe tying into the Dark World tie in episode earlier this season.

wow, I had to go back and pull up that episode to see what the heck you were talking about. I didn't see Dark World until after this episode, and apparently I missed the first 20 seconds of that episode, because I only remember from them sifting through junk onwards ... never saw the interleaved footage of the movie. At the time, I just presumed they were assigned to help with Battle of NY rubble ... lol ... doh!

    Spoiler: show
Deathlok has come to "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."

A classic Marvel Comics icon who is celebrating his 40th anniversary this year, Deathlok will be brought to live-action life for first time ever on the all-new episode of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." premiering Tuesday, February 4 at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC.

    J. August Richards as Mike Peterson in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Transformed into the cybernetic solider against his will, Mike Peterson (J. August Richards) must struggle to find the man in the machine. With a high-tech eye that allows him to see through walls, super strength and increased speed courtesy of a cybernetic leg, will Deathlok fight alongside the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or against them?

"We have been waiting all season for this moment where we can reveal that Mike Peterson's story arc is an origin story," said Executive Producer Jeffrey Bell. "We're thrilled to have J. August Richards playing Deathlok and to have our audience enjoy this favorite Marvel character on the show."

Taking a cue from Arrow maybe and having a legitimate super-powered character from the comics introduced?

I'm thrilled with this for a few reasons. I love J. August Richards, would love to have some real power on screen and it would hopefully move things forward a little bit, main arc wise.

To be fair, considering the movies, a slow build to powered characters makes sense. The movies don't make it seem like the world overly populated with powered individuals

I was about to post about tonight's episode itself then I heard "on March 4th" in the next preview and all I can think is ... wtf ... 3 week wait for 1 episode to wait 4 more weeks? ... TV shows and their breaks ruin my interest in the shows more than the shows content itself does.

That T.R.A.C.K.S. episode was.....actually pretty good. Some rumblings its gonna get cancelled because of high production costs...after episode six, I could see that, but the shows are getting better right now and there is actually some sort of story/progress happening. I think I'd be disappointed if they cancelled it now.
