So, what is the best version of FFV that I can play in my Android? Haven't played it in a decade. Should I get the PS1 version, the GBA, or the new Android one?

You definitely should. Like others have already recommended, GBA versions of FF5 and FF6 are the definitive versions.
Wish SE would let Matrix quit fucking around with iOS ports and get to work on 3DS remakes of these two, FF6 especially.

Well hey, even better! The GBA ROM modding community has made so many iterations of these things. And Pokemon. And Mother. You'll have your pick of exactly what you want.

My Boy! is the android emu app I use. Free version available but doesn't allow save states.
Honestly though, the GBA is a toaster compared to today's phones, so any app is gonna run these games seamlessly.

I must be the only person on the planet who has actually grown attached to the phone versions of V and VI. The redrawn character sprites are still sorta goofy but they're totally in line with the concept art SDs that were created at the time so I think it's actually MORE in the spirit of the originals. Plus, the rest of the redrawn graphics are awesome and totally blow away any other versions, especially the monster sprites.

I just bit the bullet and bought the FF pack on IOS for like 60 a few months ago for the wife to play on the IPad. I'm currently playing V right now on my IPhone 6S Plus, so far so good. Though I hear 3 got borked with iOS9 which was going to be my next game.
