Why shouldn't it be legal?
beat me to it
....really?
Let me explain. Breastmilk is superior to formula, and US doctors do an insane push to get women to breastfeed (when I switched to a new doctor when I moved and she found out I did half n' half she went nuts and made me do everything under the sun to try and get me to produce more). Breastmilk creates immunities that formula can't replicate. There are milk banks people can donate to if they produce a surplus. These banks work through the hospitals to sell milk to women who can't produce (no, I didn't buy). However, these banks are 1. super expensive 2. the donors don't make any money. So these buy/sell sites are pretty common.
They are obviously, however, dangerous and are best avoided. I'd rather give my baby formula than end up with milk that has an STD in it (hence why the hospital banks are expensive because they test all the milk).
I would not be surprised if eventually it does become illegal, I think they have become popular recently because of a. the costs and b. again the recent heavy push to make women breastfeed their babies.
With that being said, comparing breastmilk to semen is insanely silly.
HIV is transmittable through breast milk. We've known this for years. I don't care if a woman has "labs" recently done.
This is no better than a guy jerking off into a dry ice cup and selling it to some chick down the street.
Just because the dude had a full checkup for diseases a week ago doesn't mean he has it now. There needs to be agency/government oversight for things such as this.
I still don't see the comparison. In one case, we're talking about feeding something that has no control over what goes in its mouth (or when they're older want's to put EVERYTHING in their mouths :eye roll: )
the other case involves two consenting adults. The guy isn't even selling his sperm. And there is the valid argument in the article that how different is that from FwB getting preggo?
I don't really approve, but I don't think the guy in the article should be fined/jailed for doing what he's doing, or you need to start regulating everyone's sperm that wants to impregnate.
Think I posted the wrong article in the OP. I can't find the recent one where the Feds chased a guy down in Ohio. There's been a rising amount of cases with men selling their sperm privately.

I just don't feel these are things that should be ran by someone at a yard sale. There should be some government supervision or middleman agency with legal backed standards handling this.

"Based-Christian Milk"
sad to say, still a terrible article. for one, those guys were in England, so you are comparing US law to British Law. Another, they used "anonymous donors". So while the breastmilk thing is still dangerous, you are putting a name/info to the milk.
Really, I am not saying I necessarily approve of either, just that if you want to talk about them, these are really really two separate situations, and should be looked at individually rather than comparing and saying "why is this ok and this isn't?" because it just isn't close to being the same thing.
I don't see why selling sperm for human consumption or selling breast milk is any different than one another. Get recent labs from the seller and enjoy.
I'm sad. Not even one remark about the chick in the OP? I'd move to the States, buy all of her supply and ask if she's willing to give it a more direct approach. And I'm lactose intolerant.
Buy it "wholesale" "in bulk" "direct"
Subtle keywords to avoid legal persecution if it rebounds badly.
We had this thread two or so years ago. But hey carry on
There was selling discusion into it however.
We have had this exact thread more recent than that.
