I agree
Why are you posting dumb Popsci comparing dogs accidently shooting people with terrorism? They are incomparable.
I see dumb shit like this all the time in the media 'you're more likely to be killed by furniture than byy terrorists!!!' useless info 'but it true!!!! look at the stats!!!!' yeah it was probably true on september 10 2001 aswell
I think, hope, it was a joke. Anyone who looked at that and said "Well now something has to be done!" is a moron.
Isn't the point to gain perspective?
Readjust that wedge on your g-string, chief. Could have at least posted some memes with dogs wearing clothes or something.
I found it a hilarious gun statistic that I was previously unaware of. Who the hell would guess so many idiots get into situations where their dog could be in the position to trigger their loaded gun? That's like one extra layer of stupid over all the already stupid Jimbobs who shoot themselves every year.
I still demand comprehensive research into cat assaults and murders tbh
Yeah but please, lets make sure to limit the range to Gun assaults and murders. That way we can have an accurate comparison between Dog gun violence.
"stupid people doing stupid things" is missing the point a bit
Consider,
# of people in US with gun(s) + dog(s)
# of days (or hours) out of the year those people are handling the guns with dogs around
and the astronomical low chance of your dog accidentally firing off a shot into you
doesn't matter how smart you are, you'll do some stupid shit 10 times in 10 years if you try it billions of times
this is a pretty pointless statistic. Could only imply something about the sheer # of guns we've got, but there are better stats for that
But I thought they had various bans and restrictions on blades items too? Kind of funny though I've definitely met some exbrits who said the main reason why they never moved back was because they feel safer here. Though here is Bay area not Oakland so that's probably part of it
Bounced on my boy's dick for hours after reading this.
If you wanted snark you could've at least linked to /r/gunsarecool's 315 Mass Shootings in 2015 report.
Apparently Obama getting ready to push out some executive actions on gun control?
Inc. GOP outrage in 3...
Already trying to google it I keep coming up with a bunch of conservative news sites losing their mind lol
That has zero bearing on these statistics!
But if you must know:
Spoiler: show

Invoking EO and bypassing congress to push unenforceable gun control is a good way to shit the bed.“President Barack Obama’s advisers are finalizing a proposal that would expand background checks on gun sales without congressional approval.White House adviser Valerie Jarrett says the president has asked his team to complete a proposal and submit it for his review “in short order.” She says the recommendations will include measures to expand background checks.
1 year to go, maybe he doesn't want to go out with a bang.
>Purchase a legal firearm from a guy and you both choose not to comply with UBC because cost, wait time, political beliefs, or whatever.
>"Oh, this gun? I bought it from Gunny McGunnerson back in 2014."
>prove it otherwise
Enforcement of this would require a massive amount of police visibility and NICS would require a much much larger budget. Both of these problems would need addressing in his proposal and it'd be a tough sell on a national level. Which would promptly lead to budget committee bogdowns until it dies, being buried in the courts until it dies if it did appear, endless hand wringing from supporters, endless circlejerking from the NRA, and endless handrubbing from the lobbying groups getting paid to keep this shitpot stirring.
