Fuck its really bugging me now. Back in 2014 someone supported the shit out of Clive Bundy and invited him to something. But once he made some racist comments everyone backed the fuck off.

As long as they don't do anything really stupid, the feds will probably just wait them out until they get bored and go home, and then they can snag them all later. Seeing as they're committing federal offenses, it's not like they all have to be arrested in some showdown if they're not posing an immediate threat.

Problem is, last time the feds backed down to a Bundy, in Nevada, they never did end up snagging them later.

There were a bunch of people who offered varying levels of support for Cliven (including Ted Cruz) who then backed off when he went full-on "slavery was a good thing".

Hypotheticals aren't far off when we're talking about a 12 year old kid gunned down for being "suspected" of having a gun while a militia of white guys committing a felony while heavily armed are allowed to feather strut unhindered.

It's a perfectly reasonable comparison. Truly peaceful protestors were gassed and shot at in Ferguson because of 2-3 punks, and those people were unarmed and not even making threats.
