So I guess there was a shooting at the U.S. Capitol building today. One Capitol police officer was wounded but not life threatening, and the shooter was taken into custody. Given that he shot a cop and was brought into custody, I'm gonna guess that he was not a black or brown man.

To be fair, while this may fall under the *technical* definition of terrorism, I think every single one of us understands that there's a very large difference between one random douche operating as a lone wolf terrorist and an organized network of terrorists working together. A lone wolf terrorist is generally indistinguishable from a mentally ill person, and a network of terrorists working together is generally indistinguishable from a guerrilla army.

I was less than 500 feet from where it happened, it wasn't a complete clip, it was a couple of shots from multiple officers. The Capitol police officer was not wounded by gunfire, the man did not pull the trigger on his gun because they did not give him a chance to.

Like to me its insane that for your actions to be elevated to terrorism its not intent but your connections. There's no reason why the planned parenthood shooting was never convicted of terrorism. Its why I made my jaded and cynical response. God forbid we'll spend trillions dollars against foreign terrorism in a decade long way and not face our own shit.

Bilo's husband Bob was inside the Capitol Visitor's Center with their two other sons at the time of the shooting. She says he texted her saying he heard a shot fired, followed by several others. He said there enough shots to "empty a clip."
