People haven't had generations of knives in their culture like they do guns. Give it a few decades, well have Raiden wannabes tallying up high scores.

or we could look to the history of warfare and recognize the objective fact that guns are better at killing people than blades
nonsense. i play a ton of civilization and ill have you know that the impi is the more powerful unit of the industrial era, and its armed with spears! any fool who goes up against an army of impis with mere musketmen is going to get slaughtered! therefore, blades > guns.
Can't wait till my kids generation has to deal with banning or restricting knives because of people using them illegally. I mean, they'll be cutting their steaks with their knorks so they won't need blades by then ya know?
Relevant: do as the Asians did.
As food became bite-sized, knives became more or less obsolete. Their decline—and chopsticks’ ascent—also came courtesy of Confucius. As a vegetarian, he believed that sharp utensils at the dinner table would remind eaters of the slaughterhouse. He also thought that knives’ sharp points evoked violence and warfare, killing the happy, contended mood that should reign during meals. Thanks in part to his teachings, chopstick use quickly became widespread throughout Asia.
Save a life bin that knife.

I was there last night and left like 15 min before the incident.
Shooter got away. Seems to have been a fight at a nearby apartment that escalated to gun violence. The injured were not apart of the party.
Press Release
I was 5 blocks from here, thankfully they fled away from campus. For once I was not in this area on a Saturday night - but the area in question is a heavily populated bar scene next to the two largest high-rises in the city.Four victims were located on-scene with gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to area hospitals, where one died from his injuries and three reportedly sustained non-critical injuries. A fifth individual who was running from the gunfire was struck by a vehicle on E. Green St. and received minor injuries.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the two shooting incidents may be related. Police are seeking a suspect(s) in both shootings as well as the driver involved in the vehicle accident. Investigators are currently processing the scene, reviewing video surveillance and interviewing potential witnesses.

My next purchase, I'm definitely gonna hit up Ghost Wheel or FNH on their opinions lol.
oh i didn't see this. yeah, i actually thought about getting a gun a while back. i do enjoy target shooting. but there are several reasons i didn't get one. i probably wouldn't think of it in an emergency, and even if i did, my eyesight is poor enough that i require careful aim to hit anything. they're expensive, cos you need the gun itself, the ammo, the storage, plus the certification. plus... even if i did think of it in an emergency, i don't really think i want that shit on my soul. if i did kill someone in self defense, i'd always wonder if maybe i could have talked them down or some shit, and i don't need that kind of baggage. i'd rather just try to talk them down, or give up whatever shit they're after. Besides, where I live, the most likely perps are rebellious teens.
anyway, I suppose if you wanna talk about any of that we should take it to the gun control thread, since it's of a more philosophical nature.
I'm not an hkfag but I wanna say that's a USP but with a fancy stippling along the finger groves and different side paneling? I'm mainly into longarms aside from my 1911s and P229 Legion.

People working in a mall need to stop dating. For security reasons.
And no lawyers.
Washington shooter's ex-gf worked at a different Macy's than the one he shot up. Press is beginning to pick him apart. He liked Halo 5, the ROTC, and Area 51.
His neighbor bought a taser to protect herself after he sent her a pic of his dick on Snapchat.
