Proving Disney needs to require all people to go through metal detectors, because that shit is so dumb. If you are too much a scaredy cat that you need your gun in order to go on small world, you don't deserve to go on small world. Some people need to come back to reality if they think they're unsafe because they can't bring their CCW into a theme park. Shit, avoiding theme parks for decades because you can't CCW in one is ludicrous. I mean, you do you, but holy shit you are in lala land if you turn down the most magical place on Earth because you can't hid a gun under your shirt. You can walk down 99% of streets in America, including the ones inside Disney, with the assumption that you are not gonna get robbed.

I dunno man. I live on the west coast, already visited Disney Land/Universal Studios/Magic Mountain as a child, and never felt any burning desire to return there guns allowed or not. For me personally the most magical place on earth burned to the ground over a decade ago and is centuries away from even vaguely resembling what it was like before.

Disney requires everyone to bag check and go thru metal detectors before entering the parks. Universal does the same...hell, Universal has additional metal detectors in the lines for roller coasters to make sure you aren't being a little shit trying to sneak anything on and make you lock up all your shit in lockers before getting on the ride. They are going to search you. You aren't going to get a weapon in to one of those parks. Plus all the additional security in disguise in the parks. Not sure why anyone would think they NEED to bring a gun to a theme park. Leave that shit in the car if you must. If you are paranoid about getting shot by a terrorist on the walk from the parking lot to the front gate, well, you're just gonna have to risk it.

We do. Random little shits sneaking guns into a theme park is a good way to make thousands of people not feel safe and secure.


Besides, out of all the places on earth, Disney is the top of the line when it comes to...well anything really. I trust them to keep me safe more than I do local law enforcement. Do I trust CC people that can't follow the rules? Absolutely not. Because as far as I'm concerned those that are so desperate to get their gun inside are already not level headed to begin with.

Only one incident ever involved a gun at Disney, and that was in 1992 and the only one that died was the gun-holder.

No one has been killed at Disney by other guests. (Only deaths are related to either rides or guest negligence.)

Im a little bothered by the police statement in response to the shootings in Iowa.

Des Moines police spokesman Sgt. Paul Parizek alluded to the tensions between police and communities of color after several high profile shootings of unarmed black men.
