To be fair I just read the statement, I didn't realize any cops got shot, I thought they were just justifying killing black dudes with "it's a dangerous environment out there for police"

Two days ago, we had a Stanislaus county deputy executed at point blank range when radioing in a stolen car he was dispatched to investigate as someone called in a suspicious vehicle parked. Suspect has been arrested though. I don't say this often, but with how he killed the deputy, I hope he fucking gets fried. No one deserves to die like that deputy did.

Good news is California not only make the death penalty legal (Still) but they quickened the process.

I actually voted to repeal the death penalty (god ours is so inefficient, it's sickening) and voted against that speed up. The fact they could tell public defenders that if they don't accept a death penalty appeal case, they can't receive any more work. It's probably going to get shot down by the supreme court.
