as a gun-owning Californian who goes hunting and trap shooting multiple times a month let's not be too hyperbolic. being unable to carry in a public space without a permit is not in the same realm as a full ban.

Not like there is a de facto ban on the purchase or import of many pistols with the current Approved List because of a 100% useless requirement. Not like having zero additions in the last two years and every pistol expiring in a few years with manufacturers having zero interest in complying with an expensive and completely shit requirements to re-qualify.

On a more serious note and somewhat to tie into the election and such these kinds of things are what tip a bit of people the final bit over. Like I know a couple of hunters/gun collectors and otherwise they were kind of on the fence/apolitical and changes to cal gun laws over the years and fear of where it might be going have got them out of the house and into the polls more than anything else. Or in one case out of the state since all of a sudden thousands of dollars of his stuff was illegal.

I always point the fence squatters to GunGuyTV's channel. Very small and underrated as he puts out great content about gun laws into easier laymans and his voice makes me moister than an oyster.

It's tough to be pro-gun when Governor Moonbeam, Gavin Newsom, de Leon, and Feinstein are running things. Don't worry though, once the guns are gone there is zero risk of a razor gang era comeback :^)

I've never liked the idea of open carry. No other people need to know I have a gun or even own guns, except the internet.

Why not use the Chris Rock method and either make bullets expensive or only make soft or rubber bullets the only legal ones. Or are we really afraid of a Red Dawn scenario or only bad guys get real bullets fantasy?

Reloaders seem archaic, but I remember my grandpa's gun bench, I'm sure plenty of white people have similar experiences.

Old coworker (actually the guy who moved away because of changes in gun laws) made his own black powder for the guns he had that used that. Not sure how hard it would be to make smokeless but can't imagine it's too hard.

He also saved all his brass cases to reload them after. Largely did it to save money since a large portion of the cost of the cartridge is the brass casing.

You can get many shots from a case, powder, primers, and projectiles are one shot.
