That was the way I felt about it as well. But when we're told to basically infract with impunity when those words are used, and most of us are new, very few posts got edited. We went straight to infractions because that's what we thought was the appropriate response.

I honestly think the thought of infracting you guys scares a lot of the newbies. Especially the ones who aren't the most well known names on the site. Spam posters are usually the most vocal, social people on the site. Despite the "stigma" of posting in spam most of you guys are well liked and popular so your comments do carry a lot of weight.
