Perfect fit for Reid, he'll have Jamaal Charles and HILLIS and throw the ball 50 times a game.

Good, I'm glad he didn't up in Arizona. NFC West needs one crappy team, I think the other three are going to be fairly consistently good for awhile.

ESPN is terrible as a whole and ray wont change that. Can't blame him for taking an easy as hell job though. Thought he was gonna be down in Miami though

I agree and regardless to what Maroot said I don't want Reid in there. imo ARI with a good coach is a decent QB + a good Oline away from being scary

Pretty sure the deal is contingent on him having Saturdays off to watch his son play.

I would love to see Ray on First Take, and Skip to say something stupid to him. The look on Skips face if Ray were to stand up jokingly, I would pay millions.

This makes me happy. Reid was never why the Eagles were good unless you count not firing Johnson as a reason. The Eagles defense was their strength for years, and their offense mediocre-to-a-liability. They had a few years of great offense, but they had many years of great defense. Reid got a lot of credit for someone else's greatness. He's good with getting the most out of a QB that can be got (or at least, he was), but he's really not a good coach. I'd have preferred him in San Diego, but I'll take Kansas City with a giant smile on my face.

T.O. was the reason the eagles were good. Look what happened after he left, NO RINGS OR SB APPEARANCES.

But seriously, you're retarded, Andy Reid was one of the most consistent coaches over the past decade, especially in the NFCE.

there's truth in both of these posts. donovan was highly underrated, especially in philly where we tended to hate on him incessantly. reid had some good drafts, the eagles locked their good players up early like they should have, and valued draft picks to the point that they're probably the best draft day strategists over the past decade except for probably the patriots. the eagles were consistently a contender over the last decade, which is really hard to do, and they had a great coaching staff.

at the same time, there was the issue of time management, of challenges, finishing games, and (though it's out of their control), an awful audience at the games (the Vet was rowdy, the Linc is just full of false entitlement). There's also the fact that Five was throwing to James Thrash and Todd Pinkston for his prime years. Reid's going to continue to be successful elsewhere, and I think it made sense for them to fire him, but I also think he's exactly the type of coach the eagles need to have and my team probably won't find a long term solution for a few years.

basically, this decade is going to suck

You're right, you could always count on Reid to mismanage a clock, blow a stupid time out, or make a bone headed challenge.

As an aside, I really love Bill Barnwell's NFL analysis, and he actually wrote a whole article on Andy last month: http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/...dy-reid-haters
