Long hair guy was Mad Dog from the first movie. He didn't die when he fought Rama and his brother. He got this throat slit, he definitely died. Nevermind! Same actor, different character

About the tattoos

Bejo staged and planned the prison attack in the courtyard as a way to allow Uco to get revenge on those attackers later on, since they were Bejo's men. That way Uco would trust Bejo and would follow through with starting the gang war with the Japanese. Bejo didn't foresee Uco making that connection. Which is why Uco killed Bejo at the end. Bejo was the mastermind behind everything. Or something like that. Haha

Thats what I figured, but it just seemed like a dumb and forced plot point.

I didn't know that lol. You'd figure if they were gonna do something like that they'd shave him bald or something to help differentiate between the two characters.

I really thought it was the same character, though I did have the itch to go back and rewatch that scene from the first... Oh well, he's still a pretty good. 9/10 Would cast again.

Finally watched it and Iko Uwais is now my favorite martial arts actor. I hope he takes on more movies as he's excellent. The Raid 3 can't come soon enough!
