While some have been more egregious, I wouldn't really call Insane's one since there seriously is a titan with tits in the OP if you pay attention. Given the introductory explanation of titans mentioned no secondary sexual characteristics, that alone should be perceived a Big Deal(tm). Otherwise, anime OP/EDs have been spoiling themselves for years.

The inside covers of the Japanese graphic novels have text on them. It’s basically the same image for all of the novels, so this isn’t actually a spoiler.

The text turns out to be upside-down nigh-illegible katakana, but the Japanese side of the SnK fanbase has managed to render it into something more readable.

It seems to concern the history of humanity before the walls.

I’m not great at Japanese, but I tried my hand at translation.

Squiggles -> Upside down -> Katakana -> Kanji -> English. I can tell you right now there's definitely going to be some mistakes in there.

But still holy shit at that find. Seems he realized it due to the part when the can is flipped over.
