Just plowed through 8 eps of the Funi dub.

The voices are great and all, plus they even swear a bit (one early scene with Sasha took me by surprise and made me laugh)! Wished they sweared a bit more or stopped using "BS" and just outright used Bullshit instead though. Kinda get tired hearing it.

2 jarring things:
1. Too much Kirito in Eren lol, can't get Kirito off my mind
2. When the characters speak in thoughts, maybe it's the (high) quality of the file, but it sounds like they're speaking in a large room when they do

I will agree, Bryce is getting a smidge too much exposure right now, going from SoA to AoT and BE later in the same block. Not that I inherently fault the dude, as it's pretty much true for JYB, too.

Just finished the rest. It works and is enjoyable if you're not too picky on the details. My favourite was Erwin though... such a perfect choice of a voice actor, I first heard him when he was in the Intial D Funi dub for Ryosuke Takahashi ... (a mastermind type char). Hearing him for that few lines at the tail end of 13 was just so nice and fitting, can't wait for the next 13 haha, it'll be a fun ride with him onboard.

It also felt less and less Kirito towards eps 10+ in some of the bits where he's required to be more aggressive/serious, it's a tiny bit more refined/improved, or so that's how I feel.

EDIT: I thought I edited it into the post last night but probably not

I also half wondered if the voice inspirations came directly from TFS's abridged stint. Notables are Shardis and Verman where they sound pretty much like their TFS counterpart.

It does seem kind of silly, in retrospect, to go and make an anime out of SnK back when it had relatively few chapters out. Should have waited and done it as it was about to conclude, ala FMA: Brotherhood.

That's what kind of annoyed me when it aired last year. It was cool to finally see it animated but the season finale ending still bugs me to no end.

Read the manga version of THAT scene and then watch the anime of THAT scene
