I thought we'd get some colossal action, but they somehow managed to pad it another chapter.

However, what should've happened at the beginning of the chapter happened at the end, it's nice to see him again. Afterall, it is unoffically, or offically, the mascot of the series making his 4th entrance onto the stage.

I get the feeling though next chapter (and the one after) would focus the offscreen action, i.e. Levi and Beast titan before we wrap back to the main bit.

Lovely to see Eren not raging and actually showing that he's in full control and is using it to work with his team.

The downside wasn't really explained. Maybe there's a risk of losing their humanity/sanity when they transfer back to their human body, because they bring back part of the "titan's mind"? As compared to controlling the titan body like a puppet. I dunno.

That would make things interesting though when Reiner regains consciousness. Eren and company would be pretty fucked if they had to deal with a fully healed Armored + Colossal titan. If Reiner loses it and goes berserk like a mindless titan, it would add an element of chaos to a battle that both sides seem to have completely planned.

I'm fully expecting a human/titan hybrid to die in the next 5 chapters. Maybe two chapters of backstory/expose, with another two or three for action and headshots. Can't wait to see this one animated.

Failing to see the point on Bertholdt holding back on anything. Pretty sure he can disregard the safety of everybody else if he wants and grab Eren at any time. Getting to the basement shouldn't be any of the titan's concern as just grabbing Eren and crushing his body and using him for whatever.

Uh, he was about to until he saw Reiner with his head blown half off. No one should be able to do that because hes the armored titan, of course he's going to go and check on his friend and see whats going on. Plus, he also mentioned how he didn't want to transform asap because the explosion might kill Reiner. Of course, by the end of it he said fuck it cause he would have died any ways, but he wasn't at that point just yet.

Also, you must not be paying attention. The Survey Corp has had victory after victory so far, even if it came from heavy sacrifices. Just wildly running at them in titan form isn't a very smart strategy when the Survey Corp has proven time and again that they are a force to be reckoned with.

Maybe I'm just jaded by bleach but we still haven't seen Eren's hardening power actually get used. I have a feeling next chapter might have a bleach esque twist where Eren finds his new found power and applies it. He still also has not used any desperation tactics which triggers his ability as the coordinate so theres also that element, but the monkey titan seems to be playing that part safe by keeping the fodder away. I would expect this to be brought up since they haven't utilized that variable since the last time they met. This is the perfect time to use that card. However if I had to guess they already have a strategy to deal with his ability as the coordinate, otherwise an assault like this would be pointless and rushed on their part which doesn't make sense.

If they were rushing they wouldn't siege. That's a conflict of strategy. They've already initiated a siege so they're trying to play the long game, bait out, or distract.


edit: Beastman having an override of some sort was what I was alluding to. He's not the type to be aware of a problem and not know how to deal with it. He's already sieging at an advantage as a result of knowing how the gear works, last time he rushed and got punished for it.
